“I was extremely pleased with the effeciency, politeness and respect paid by all whom I had contact with in IMOL, from the office to the gentlemen escorting my wife's coffin. I wasn't rushed into any plan or any detail; everything was at my discretion. They were easy to contact when I had any queries. Sending their plans through on-line made for easy access and gave time for me to review and make arrangements. No detail became an issue. A traumatic time was reduced to one without anxiety. I was thankful to put my trust in IMOL.”

“From the moment you arrive, you are warmly greeted, and supported throughout the event. The ceremony is explained to you while you sit in the waiting room so that you know exactly what will happen. Everything goes like clockwork; you are shown where to wait while the hearse arrives, and you follow the coffin into the chapel while your first piece of chosen music is playing. The process is formal and informal at the same time: kindness, respect and compassion are the watchwords. The celebrant thanks the donor for their gift to medical science in words that go straight to the heart. This makes you feel so proud of them! Our experience as mourners for a dear friend was beautiful and dignified, and our thanks go to all concerned.”

“The service we received was very professional and they were sympathetic towards all our needs. Rebecca was amazing and explained each step in detail, emails and calls were responded to promptly. We were very happy with the service provided and all the staff that attended on the day of the funeral were very respectful, it was a beautiful and dignified ceremony. “Thank you all for your help in the preparation for Mum’s service. We thought you were all marvellous and you made what was a final farewell as good as it could have been. You were all so caring, professional and dignified . The sunlight pouring in from the chapel windows lighting up the flowers on Mum's coffin was a lovely memory. It was interesting to see how all worked and I was so impressed by the whole team as you took as much care for those who had no family present as those of us with a small team of family at the crematorium. Thank you all.”

“I telephoned Caitlin this morning to thank her on behalf of my son and myself for the very dignified service for Nabila Fares Sarofim Harris. I asked if May Andrews could be thanked, and that it could be passed on to all the people that took part in the ceremony that we much appreciated their quiet dignity. It is not easy for people assisting on these perforce conveyor belt occasions to preserve a quiet suitable deportment. I enquired if the most seemly coffin was in fact burnt. It struck me that it was good looking and well made, and of reasonable expense. I wondered whether there was in fact a method of opening the base, so that a less elaborate cardboard receptacle could be inside and deposited, so that the coffin could be used again? I was assured though that the present thinking was to give dignified thanks to all who had left their bodies for this good purpose, with no abbreviation.”

Thank you Jonathan, it was an honor to organise the funeral for Nabila. Funerals for those such as Nabila who kindly donate their bodies to medical education are entirely funded by the Medical School and all include the provision of a simple dignified wood effect coffin for each person.

“We were surprised and very pleased at the ease of arranging the funeral for our beloved son, not having to go and sit in some strange waiting-room, but just gather around the phone or screen. Harriet was wonderful, at the end of the phone, checking on every detail, and dealing with the vagaries of flower-orders from family in Australia. On the day, all was perfect. Thanks Alex and all the team.”

“Right from my first call to them they ( Rebecca ) have just been so amazingly understanding , sympathetic and much more , nothing was too much trouble and Rebecca guided me through the process so very professionally at such a sad time . The funeral went so smoothly and they delivered everything that was promised . I can’t recommend them enough !”

“From my first conversations with Nick about my husband’s death and then with Rebecca helping me put the funeral together, In Memory of Life were excellent, I’m so glad I chose them. It never felt like a sales call with them and Rebecca offered suggestions for the funeral and kept me informed of everything leading up to it. On the day itself, funeral conductor Stuart and his team were brilliant, very warm and caring, whilst Becky the humanist celebrant was perfect. Everyone made what was a hard day as easy to get through as possible, and created a very loving funeral too; my sincerest thanks to you all x”
