“Punctual with renewal but premium has gone up quite a bit unfortunately, but what can I say no one likes spending money on insurance do they?”

“I have used i4me insurance for a few years. It is the best price I can find for holiday home insurance. Although it does go up every year. I have never claimed or tried to claim so no idea how good the policy would be. But staff are always very nice on the phone. Hopefully I will never need to use the insurance policy.”

Thank you for your feedback. Insurers consider several factors when calculating the renewal price. Indexation, an adverse claims history and the customer making a claim within the last 12 months will usually drive an increase, but there are other, more subjective factors as well. These include insurers’ views on the various risks associated with the insurance they are providing, such as changes in their overall claims experience for a given property type or a review of the severity of natural disasters occurring in a given postcode. Finally, we would like to confirm that renewals are not mandatory and we contact our customers in good time with an offer of price for the coming 12 months. This gives them the opportunity to consider our terms and to shop around if they feel we are not offering value for money. “Hi, I would like to say thank you for arranging unoccupied home building insurance for me. I initially spoke to James Olley who listened to my requirements and offered three options of cover with a clear explanation for each option. Following our chat he promptly sent an email covering our discussion. From the email I was able to choose my preferred option which was implemented by members of your team. A choice of payment options was available.”

“Renewed again this year despite price increase of c 25 %. Helpful broker explained that my property had been re-rated due to flood risk. Cover is good versus other holiday home insurers so decided to stick with it.”

“I have just insured my holiday let with i4me for the second year. I found the process fairly straightforward and any queries are delt with quickly and helpfully over the phone. I would have given 5 stars if this year's premium had not gone up. I have not made a claim so I cannot comment on the claims process.”
