“Refreshing to find an insurer who understood the difficulties in finding holiday home insurance and was sufficiently flexible for us to secure insurance with conditions that were possible to achieve in practice. Lee was exceedingly helpful, assured me (and re-confirmed) that the policy did not require routine inspections of the property. When the final policy came through, the statement of insurance mentioned routine inspections which conflicted with what I had been told and caused me some anxiety. Ned patiently dealt with my query, triple-checked, then i4me amended the wording on the statement of insurance to reflect what had been agreed. But for the initial wording on the statement of insurance and the concern/doubt it caused I would have scored a 5 - easy to rectify for subsequent customers. I am thorough, cautious, and take wording on insurance policies very seriously - i4me dealt well with my persistence. Worth paying extra for a policy that is practicable and for peace of mind. Looking forward to dealing with i4me again next year, assuming no issues this year.”

Thank you for your feedback. Insurers consider several factors when calculating the renewal price. Indexation, an adverse claims history and the customer making a claim within the last 12 months will usually drive an increase, but there are other, more subjective factors as well. These include insurers’ views on the various risks associated with the insurance they are providing, such as changes in their overall claims experience for a given property type or a review of the severity of natural disasters occurring in a given postcode. Finally, we would like to confirm that renewals are not mandatory, and we contact our customers in good time with an offer of price for the coming 12 months. This gives them the opportunity to consider our terms and to shop around if they feel we are not offering value for money. Due to us having thousands of customers we're unable to provide individual reasons for increase of premium on each renewal document we issue. However, if you would like to discuss the reasons for the increase of your renewal premium, please feel free to contact us and we will be happy to provide you with this information.

“Straight forward online application for Contents Insurance which was followed up immediately by a telephone call from an agent to ask if there was anything further that I needed to make a decision between the products offered. Subsequently, the agent offered an immediate further product quotation which was helpful. When I rang with queries the telephone was answered immediately and the response was very helpful and professional.”
