“I contacted i4me to question why the quotation for next year was 25% higher than this. I was told that it was because insurers had raised their rates - but not why that might be: coronavirus? climate change? I was tempted to say "Well, why don't you change your insurers?" but I realise it's not that simple. In the end, given the timescale, I decided to save some money by paying one lump sum and cancelling the direct debit. But it did feel like I was being told "Take it or leave it!"”
