“A lot of the exam questions were 'fill in the blank' in a sentence. This type of question can easily be guessed by just looking at the grammar of the sentence and requires absolutely no knowledge of the subject. Ie from the four options, often only one of the words makes grammatical sense in that sentence so that has to be the right answer. You could easily pass the exam without understanding any of the content of the course. Disappointed- with the cost of the course I would have expected stronger assessment methods.”

Many thanks for your feedback. The question bank in that course is set by IOSH (the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health) and so they are not within our direct control. The questions used during the assessment are selected at random from that question bank. We’ve looked at a sample of recent assessments and found that, on average, that type of question appeared about 5 to 15% of the time. Of course, by the nature of selecting questions randomly, you may have had more than the average number. We will however pass your comments on to IOSH.

“HSQE as a provider have been great. No issues at all and very swift with the emails of what was required in order to complete the course. I did however have issues with the platform used to do tests on - vitalskills. For some reason it became quite slow and buggy even with super fast broadband. But would recommend HSQE to friends.”

Many thanks for your feedback Patrick. Could you please give us some more information about when your access speed slowed and what device you were using at the time? We've run some basic diagnostic checks across all of our software applications on all our servers and we haven’t found any major fluctuations in access speed or performance. If you can provide us with that information, we’ll run some more targeted checks to see if we can spot what could have happened. We’ll then see if there is anything we can do to prevent a reoccurrence for anyone else. Thanks once again, your feedback is appreciated.

“I found the courses informative, easy to follow, and liked the regular refresher questions part way through. All the courses cover alot of information but you can go at your own pace and recap whenever necessary. I would be happy to do more of these in the future.”

“Very impressed with the IOSH Managing Safely course online. Well presented, easy to follow and understand from beginning to end. The 5 additional courses on the Bonus Bundle were certainly helpful to complete first, as all topics were covered throughout this course and helped with my confidence to complete successfully. Prompt response on the Project result on completion. Highly recommended.”

“I was recommended to try HSQE for my online training by a colleague and I'm impressed by the quality of the courses and the price. In addition the online support from HSQE is very responsive so it made me feel that there was someone there at all times to answer any questions which was a bonus”
