“A very comprehensive interesting and informative course that covered all the key aspects of health and safety and provided a robust grounding in the subject.The assesment at the end of the course was challanging but prooved how much knowledge you had gained by completing the course.”

“The course was affordable, especially the bundle price. The course materials were easily accessible and well presented. I have enjoyed all 5 of my courses and feel much more confident with them listed on my CV. Treated the online material as if I were in a real classroom, making plenty of notes and taking my time - a couple of hours longer than the duration suggested, but this resulted in a 100% pass mark on 4/5 exams! Have already recommended Vital Skills and will definitely be back for more!”

“It is too expensive, long and fairly complicated to complete. All of the new windows opening and the system not showing what’s done without constant refresh of a page…😒 on top of that the amount of work needed to complete the IOSH course…as if I didn’t have work to do. The fact that certificate does not come by email straight away is annoying as I am waiting for it coz I need it in order to start work. Would not recommend this course.”

We understand that cost is an important factor, which is why we work hard to keep our prices as affordable as possible. In fact, the course you completed and passed is typically available at around half the price charged by many other training providers offering the same qualification. As for the length and complexity of the course, it's worth noting that the syllabus is set by the awarding body and we must ensure the content fully meets their rigorous standards. While this means the course is comprehensive, it also ensures that learners gain a recognised, high-quality qualification. Our online format allows learners to complete the course at their own pace, in far less time than the traditional classroom-based alternative, which typically takes 3 to 4 full days. We also appreciate that the system may not suit everyone, but this structure is designed to allow maximum flexibility—so learners can jump in and out of content and pick up where they left off, across any device, whenever it suits them. Our platform is available 24/7, from any location, and learners can start immediately—there’s no need to wait for a scheduled course date or travel to a venue. Regarding certification, RoSPA, CPD, IoH allow us to issue our own certificates – these are all issued immediately. IOSH and IEMA issue their own certificates. As a training centre, we submit completions to IOSH and IEMA as soon as learners finish—7 days a week, including bank holidays—to minimise any delay. The turnaround time from there is dependent on the awarding bodies processing times. We understand how important it is to receive your certificate quickly and share your frustration with any delay, but we do everything possible to fast-track this on our side. Lastly, while we’re not familiar with the exact details of your work situation, it’s encouraging to hear that your employer requires the qualification as a condition for starting work.
