“The tea lights were unreliable, in that the wick burnt out shortly after lighting, on the vast majority. Worse still, they are a fire hazard as some have burst into flame. The product must be removed from sale.”

Thank you for this product review Robert. I only wish you had informed us about these issues at the time when we could have checked some from the same batch you received 10 weeks or so ago. The product is probably the UK's best selling brand if commercial tea light designed for the commercial market where quick lighting is a requirement. The wicks have a paraffin wax coating to facilitate this. That said, we asked the manufacturer to check their stock and we temporarily removed the product from sale to do our own tests. The current batch that we have behaved as expected though.
