“Ruth was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. She guided us through the redesign of two existing rings, which were a real family heirloom, and helped us turn them into something truly special! She took the time to understand what we wanted, while being incredibly thoughtful about the history and sentimental value of the original rings. The result is a spectacular piece of jewellery that feels both completely new and connected to its story. We could not be happier with the ring, and I cannot recommend Ruth highly enough. She is incredibly talented and a pleasure to work with!”

“I had a piece of jewellry very special to me changed into a pendant which I will wear on my wedding day - so happy with how it turned out. Ruth also did such a lovely job helping my fiance with the engagement ring - he almost changed a perfectly beautiful heirloom and she advised him not to and instead to polish it up and see how it goes. I love it, wouldn't change it, thank you Ruth!”

“We had a problem with large knuckles and needed our rings adapted we came across Ruth after lots of research as an expert in this field, Ruth took our rings redesigned of a special clasp reset the diamonds making a wonderful job. We recommend this skilful person and the company heirloom, Ruth will be our go to person anything to do with jewellery. It’s been a pleasure to come across Ruth and what a wonderful personality she is. The price is fair and the Works are excellent Stan & Maggie H.”

“Working with Ruth to rework my grandmother’s ring was a great experience Given the sentimental value of the ring I was naturally a bit nervous, but Ruth handled the entire process with the utmost sensitivity and respect for the original piece. “After a bit of research looking for a company to rework an existing ring I came across Heirloom, for use as an engagement ring. I reached out via the website with some images and roughly what I was looking for. Ruth came back quite promptly to arrange a call to go through my needs. The service I receievd from Heirloom really was fantastic. Ruth talked me through my options and worked with me with my budget. Coming up with lots of cretive designs, and showing me some additional options I had not thought of before to help maximise my budget, which I ended up going with! Ruth was very flexible and accomodating, and the ring could not have come out any better. Would 100% recommend. I used Heirloom to remodel an existing ring to use as an engagement ring, and I will definitley be back for the wedding bands!”

“Ruth recently made our wedding bands for us, re-using the gold of a 70-y-o ring for one band, and creating a second ring shaped to complement a vintage engagement ring. We are both extremely happy with the result, and really enjoyed the process, even if we only gave Ruth a few weeks from start to finish. I really can't recommend Heirloom enough.”

“My arthritis meant that I could no longer wear my wedding and engagement rings. I discovered Ruth at Heirloom when I was thinking of getting my wedding ring hinged. However, it is 22ct gold and 100 years old and I wanted to keep the ring intact. Ruth came up with the amazing idea of remodelling both rings whilst keeping my wedding ring intact. I would never have believed what she said could be done and she and her goldsmith did the most amazing job, see photos. I get ao many amazing comments about it andI recommend Ruth to all!”

“I'll break this review down into 2 steps so you can read the one most relevant to you! The long and short of is however that yes, you should choose Ruth to source your stone and/ or design & build your ring! Step 1: Sourcing a stone. By far and away, Ruth was the best of the 3 jewelers that I went to when sourcing a coloured diamond to build an engagement ring. She was immediately responsive, had the best connections and found what turned out to be the right stone within a day (although I was difficult and wanted to compare it to a few others, which she was happy to help with!). Step 2 - Designing the ring: I came into the process with an idea of what a 'safe' ring design would look like (i.e. the one on the picture that my girlfriend had shown me, a standard halo) - but I did also want to play around to see if we could go with a more floral design. Starting with a mood board and then moving onto more detailed drawings, Ruth was always fast at iterating her designs and providing helpful tips for me to think about. In the end we got a unique variation of the halo, with yellow gold accents to accentuate the colour of diamond, and a perfect polish and finish!”
