Just over 2 years ago I bought height-adjustable Catbells poles - and now one tip has broken off and the second one is badly worn. I contacted Harrier to order replacement tips but it turns out the tips are sadly not replaceable. They offered a 20% discount on a new pair as a gesture of good will but the new Catbells poles have a minimum length of 110cm (corresponding to a body height of 165cm) and are therefore too long for me. Confusingly the new 110cm Catbells Pro are also longer than my old pair of Catbells set to 110cm. It's quite disappointing to have to throw away a pair of otherwise perfectly good poles just because the tips are worn/have broken - which is really far from ideal from a sustainability point of view; but I guess that's why they are relatively cheap. And even more sad that now shorter people (most of which will be female) are excluded from buying affordable Harrier poles. The only poles you can now buy if you're my height are Helvellyn Pro at 105cm for 2x the price of a pair of Catbells - but given their "robust" pair of poles has only lasted 2 years I'm not particularly keen on spending 2x the money on something which may last for an even shorter time. I always had the impression that Harrier stood for body inclusivity and was promoting accessibility of running to women - so I'm really confused by this change in product availability.

Hi Martha, Thanks for getting in touch and I’m really sorry to hear about the issues you’ve had with the Catbells poles. Thank you for flagging, it's absolutely something we have taken on board. Warm regards, Aimee Liebe Grüße, Team Harrier Trail Running

I have tried the Harrier Curbar 5L, alongside the running emergency kit and the soft flask in a couple of runs for my marathon training and it was absolutely brilliant! The first time around I had some issues with the straps and had to return the vest, but, customer service was the best, they were there during every step of the way to see that I was satisfied with my purchase.

I recently bought the Helvellyn Pro poles for a 55km mountain run in Snowdonia. They were perfect! I used them for running and walking. They were a godsend for the uphills but also really helpful to maintain control down steep slopes at the end of the day when my legs were shredded. They were so light you barely noticed them. I often just folded them and carried them in my hands rather than stashing in my sack. Really easy and quick to fold and unfold, I could do it while running without losing pace. Furthermore the after sales support was fantastic! I fell somewhat down some steep slippery boggy hills in the dark and damaged one of the poles. On contacting Harrier after they were really easy to contact and made it quick and easy to return and get a replacement pole. Highly recommend both the kit and the company!

Not only are Harrier products brilliant, the customer service is the best. I had an issue with a product I had bought (one out of many) and Harrier Customer Service were super quick to resolve the issue. The products are good quality, comfortable and perfect for hitting the trails

I recently bought the Catbells Aluminium Z-Poles V2. Unfortunately, one pole had a faulty locking mechanism and fell apart on first assembly, but the customer service team was helpful and responded to my email quickly, suggesting I return only the faulty pole in exchange for a new one. They pointed me to their exchange/returns process, which was really easy to follow and get a QR code for printing the return label at the post office. Although I haven't had a chance to try the poles out on a trail yet, they feel sturdy, easy to adjust and the wrist straps comfy.

Harrier are an amazing company. The products are well made and really good value for money. I’ve used the support team more than once and they always respond quickly and are super helpful. Returns are easy too. If the product range expanded, I would definitely buy more stuff 😊
