Purchased nematodes for leatherjackets. Easy to apply but too early to assess results. Pleased with delivery and packaging and instructions. Will probably apply again next Spring as advised and will use the same company. Thanks.

Not possible to find this large size in the local garden centres. They look sturdy enough to use for divided herbaceous plants and overwintering in the cold frame. That's a job for the autumn.

Received vine weevil treatment promptly. Will wait to see if it works. Whole estate seems to have them so fingers crossed.

nematodes arrived and applied to lawn, I think they killed most of the wire worms, have applied new seed so will see in the coming weeks if the seed grows or is still barren being eaten by wire worms.

A spring application of vine weevil treatment rescued my potted fuschias and primulas and I have just given them an autumn top-up to eradicate any which may have arrived since. It's an effective organic product which is easy to apply and a lot cheaper than replacing plants, not to mention avoiding the distress of finding a sickly plant and uncovering those nasty grubs!

I asked for advise regarding getting rid of chafer grubs. I got all the information about using nematodes and the equipment needed. I purchased what they suggested, this arrived the next day. Easy to use website, and very helpful staff. Will definitely use again.

A very good experience although the larvae arrived whilst I was unexpectedly in hospital so I had they had to remain in their package for two days. I hope they've survived their ordeal!

All summer I have been digging out dead circles of grass from the lawn, removing the leatherjackets I found in the soil beneath, and re-seeding the patches. Each week I dug up patches; each week yet more appeared. This has been continuous since May and the lawn now consists of more new grass than original. In spite of the dozens of larvae I have removed (and fed to the birds) many more have somehow survived and pupated and in the last week emerged as adult craneflies. The ones which have entered the house have been swatted but others are now actively laying their eggs in the lawn for next year's infestation. However I have now carefully applied a solution of nematodes (two packets) to the entire lawn. Will it work? Will the little worms really seek out and kill the newly hatching larvae? The powder certainly contains live worms (we examined a drop of solution under the microscope). I will only find out next spring. That's when I should be writing the review, not now. Ask me then.
