I contacted Go assist service before 15th Oct 2021 to fix my fridge. they promised that it will be sorted out with in 2-3 days maximum. I paid £80 for engineer to have a look and around £80 again for equipment part. I also joined the insurance and have been paying £10 monthly. after they deducted the money,they have not fixed anything after even its been more than 5 weeks. they are absolutely fraud and liar. they promise you this and that but once they take out your money, they do not do any thing. they did not say it will take forever for them to fix and they are eager to take your money. they do not refund your money even though its their fault.I have a 3 year old toddler whose food needs to be refrigerated daily. how can they be so irresponsible, unprofessional after they suck out your money? extremely bad company. very disappointed. never ever join this fraud company for the service.

Do not use....paid £119.00 for a guy to come out was here for approx 3 mins then told they couldn't get the part needed. Feel like we have been robbed avoid this company at all costs

I am puzzled how at the top of the page it says it has 4.26 stars as all I can see is bad reviews. So our dishwasher broke down. Running the household and my own business I needed a repair ASAP. Called Go Assist and was assured that the engineer will call in the next half an hour. That was Friday morning. Payed the callout fee and waited and waited. It was clear he is not coming the same day. Called them first thing Monday. A lovely girl apologised and assured he is calling any minute. He did just to tell me he just received the email and is booked and has no time till Friday (maybe Wednesday, but no Friday, but maybe Wednesday). Comes Friday and I’m waiting and waiting. No engineer and not a phone call to say he is running late or won’t be able to make it. So I call the customer service this time to demand my money back. 20 min on hold and she tells me she can’t get hold of him. So I ask for a refund over the phone and in writing. Monday I get an email saying they won’t refund until they get in touch with the engineer to get to the bottom why he did not show up. As it seams they can’t even find him. So I have sent three emails demanding a refund and it is clear it’s far from over. I find this kind of business not only unprofessional (on the boundary’s of fraud) but disrespectful towards customers. Most of us have a job and can’t sit at home all day waiting if the repair you payed more than you might earn all day to turn up. And then they don’t turn up! I do understand that things happen, cars brake down, Isolate Britain blocked the motorway or god knows what, but have some decency to call and apologise and reschedule. After reading all the reviews ( two weeks too late), I will be emailing Trading standards as this is not acceptable and companies like that should be forced to shut down or fined for systematically failing customers.

Where do I start…. I rang about an oven repair on Friday 29 th October. They came the next Monday did the repair and all was well. Until 4 hours later when I received a call from my tenant. She said the electrics started tripping out again due to the oven. So I rang back and explained the situation and the earliest an engineer could re attend was the Friday so 4 days later. The engineer came and discovered that there was an issue with the thermostat. I was told that they were ordering the part and will be in touch when the repair can be done . I waited and waited and my tenant rang and said she had contacted the company direct and the part needed had been discontinued… I then rang to see what was going on and they said only other option is a new oven. This is 2 weeks after the original visit. I then said do you provide new ovens and they said yes. I said brilliant can we get one ordered snd fitted ASAP. I was assured that one of the 4 options I picked will be installed within 5 working days. I then received an email saying the oven has been ordered snd will be delivered on the 22 nd of November. I said this is too long my tenant has been without an oven for 2 weeks already !! They then told me it was due to the oven not being in stock. I then asked if any were in stock could I swap to that option and get it fitted ASAP. They said yes no problem we have another oven and that is in stock and can be fitted towards the end of the week or latest early next week. I said that would have to do… I later then received an email saying your oven will be being delivered on the 24th of November !!!!! 2 days after the first oven I had chosen, In the end I just cancelled it all and got someone to replace the oven the next day. SHOCKING.I’d not the word.

Steer well clear. After cancelling a service due to a really uncompetitive quote, I found they had set up an insurance policy for repairs from my bank details. Eventually I got that cancelled (they make it quite difficult to do so) and then 1 year later they took more money from my credit card without authorisation. When I complained, they refused to refund and claimed they were 'legally obliged' to keep my bank details. Despite instructing them to cancel everything, they kept a 'membership' which is free for the first year (though I knew nothing about that) so they can charge you the second year. Shocking company. Avoid!

I am of the opinion that companies like GoAssist make the vast majority of their profits by not asking a few basic questions before charging you £119 for a call-out fee. In the 'real' world, there are elderly and vulnerable people whose only problem with their appliance is that a fuse has blown in the plug or it's merely just not turned on. Ironically these demographics of society are also the ones that can least afford to lose £119. In my case, the so-called engineer touched the back wall of my fridge and told me it was irreparable. 5 seconds to relieve me of £119. Heartless and scandalous. I don't know how they manage to sleep at night!!!

Do NOT USE THIS COMPANY If I could give no stars I would I called them for an emergency appointment to have my toilet fixed and spoke to an advisor who assured me that someone would be out within 4 hours to fix the problem and it would cost £149.00 I asked if there were any other charges and he assured me there were no hidden charges and I get 1 hours labour. An engineer came out took a photo of my toilet and then went to leave. I asked were he was going and he said I need payment to do the job I explained I had already paid and he said no and left and said I will be back saturday. I called the company and spoke to Adam and he said the £149.00 was just a call out not at any time did they say that on the call. I had a call today to say the plumber will be round and I needed to pay for another call out and £185.00 for parts I was in shock. I had to pay for another plumber to come out to fix the toilet as we could not manage without one I have asked for a transcript of the call and am disgusted they can rip people of like this will be going to trading standards

Please do not get involved with this Company. It is 5 months since I instructed them to repair my dishwasher I have paid up front this is the end of October and nothing. They will never darken my doorstep again. Rise up people do not use them they are an unprofessional nightmare.

Was charged £169 up front. This was sold to me as “we aim to be there within 4 hours. After 4 hours, received a call to book attendance for 3 days time. When the engineer arrived, pressed reset on the boiler and Boilermate. It started work, he left and within 5 minutes the system stopped and we had no heating or hot water again. Phone them immediately, they wanted another £90 for another call out. They would not reconsider and would not refund and left us without heating or hot water or even a diagnosis. Avoid this company! Disgusted

Was priced £149, for call out and 1hr labour, the guy was only here for 15mins and didn't fix the toilet and was told to pay another about £200, to fix the toilet. What a joke. Not happy. Will never use go assist again. 😡

I really do not recommend go assist. Repair is not guranteed as they claim in their brochure. I called them to repair my fridge. The engineer came on first visit and advised to deforst it for 24 hours but this did not work. he came again and said that it is unrepairable.I called them to ask for at least a partial refund, they said the engineer did not submit his report and they will come back to me. Ofcourse, they have never come back. Overall, it was avery bad experience. They are not honest. They should be clear that the initial money that we pay is just for the engineer visit and that repair is not guranteed.

I contacted Go Asist 1 year ago about a light bulb in my microwave which was otherwise working perfectly. the engineer said he'd never repaired one before, had difficulty locating the bulb and when it was fitted blew up the machine. he took it away for nearly 2 months and when it was returned the timer was missing. they put on a nonmatching timer which secured with paper as it was too big. A few weeks later the machine blew again and fused all the sockets. Go Assist has refused to replace the machine or even refund the £200 I paid for the repair. To add insult to injury they've just taken £39.99 from my credit card 1 year later. I haven't authorised this payment and am guessing they've auto enrolled me on their loyalty scheme. I'm in the process of taking them to court. Do not use them.

I filled in the online form to get a quote to fix my dryer. Got through to the end of the form and to get the price promised you have to sign up for a monthly maintenance fee. I didn’t take the quite any further but am now being bombarded with calls and texts. AVOID

10 weeks later sent unqualified engineer to fix a neff oven twice absolute waste of £79 how does it get this rating of 4.3 stars more like 1.3 rubbish company

We booked in for a dishwasher repair at £80, then on arrival they told us the appliance could not be repaired as we needed new parts. We paid £90 for the parts through this company. On return visit the repair man told us he couldn’t fix the dishwasher as apparently he couldn’t get it out as it was integrated. Myself and my dad got the appliance out in about 10 minutes the next day and called GoAssist to come and finish the job we had paid for. They told us it would be another £80 for someone to come back and finish the job. We refused to pay and I had a go and have fixed it myself after work. So basically I do not recommend, you will be wasting your money!

Took 5 weeks for my American Fridge Freezer to be fixed .The first part the engineer fitted was faulty .He first came out 2 weeks from my booking The new part came in a few days later but engineer didn’t come out until over two weeks later .The pushy sales person at the start told me they had a 48 hour turnaround that’s what sold it to me even though it was pricey .I got no satisfaction when I complained about the length of time I had to wait .Sales people should not be misleading people about turn around times when they know it ain’t going to happen .I will not be recommending this firm to anyone .They have you over a barrel as they take your money when they take the booking and then wash their hands of you .Disgraceful customer service causing a lot of stress.I had to buy an extra freezer as it took so long

Really high prices, no guarantees of actually fixing your stuff and you will forever receive marketing messages with no way of blocking or unsubscribing.
