“not good at all, poor definition”

Hi Pete, I’m sorry to hear that. I’ve just checked the engrave file and it looks perfect on our side. The way they are engraved means that the definition isn’t really variable. It is basically binary and is all sharp edges! It will almost certainly be the ink pad you are using. We recommend the tsukineko brand, specifically the versafine range are best for fine detail. Hi Harriet, Thanks for taking the time to review us and I'm sorry to hear you are having trouble! That doesn't sound right at all and in our experience, the clarity is very good and there should be no smudging. If you would like to you could send us some photos of the results you are getting and we might be able to offer some advice and figure out what is going wrong. When you say it takes lots of tries to get a good image; that sounds like it is probably just a case of practising I'm afraid. The stamp itself is a fairly simple instrument after all without moving parts or any variation between attempts. With practice, you should be able to get very consistent results. The only thing I can think that would cause an issue with smudging would be if the surface you are stamping is at all glossy. Have you tested it on normal paper to check if it could be the material being stamped? If you do want to send any photos of the results could you send them to us@getstamped.co.uk? Many thanks, Henry

“Probably 2.5 out of 5. Service good, product less good. Easy to use and quick delivery service. Quick response to email query. Stamp itself not as good quality as one previously ordered elsewhere. Either picks up too much or too little ink and text rather too small to be seen as well as I would like, despite prior assurance by the company it would be ok. ....Wish I could remember where I bought my previous stamp! Paid more for this one and it wasn't as good as the original.”
