“After a few uses I managed to get a good image transfer dance but the ink was also getting into areas I didn’t want and showed a little smudgy on the outside of image. I’m persevering.”

Hi Carolyn, Sorry to hear you are having trouble. With the correct technique this can be avoided entirely. This video here shows the best technique for inking up, basically the trick is not to actually press into the ink pad but rather to dab the ink pad across the surface of the stamp: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZnRQVCHO2b4&ab_channel=GetStamped Hope that helps!
