Hastings Direct is a broker that works on behalf of a number of underwriters and also provides a few levels of cover. The relevant department has been working to resolve this issue so hopefully normal functionality will return soon. They have suggested, uninstalling the app, clearing the cache and cookies and then reinstalling it. This has worked for other customers. “I really needed to talk to a human but couldn’t find a way. I had 8 years no claims last year but Hastings only gave me one. I have no way of getting this sorted. For the less technical person this is not a good way to buy insurance. Apparently I have breakdown cover but I have no idea how or where to access it.
