“I completed the FOI Practitioner course in 2014 with Joyce Allen. It was a fantastic course and I was able to apply my learning to real life requests confidently. I completed the foundation certificate in Information security Management Principles with Anthony Daly in 2022 and I found it interesting, especially all the examples Anthony provided during the course. I returned to complete the Data Protection foundation course with Joyce in January 2022 and I found it useful to apply to my current job so I decided to return to complete the Data Protection Practitioner course this year with Julie Dennis. This was a fantastic course, full of real-life examples which made the sometimes 'boring' world of data protection much more interesting! A great training provider overall and I would highly recommend to anyone working within information management!!”

“The content of the course was relevant and interesting to my role, and 5 years into a career in Data Protection I still felt that I learned new things. Julie made sure to involve us all, and had lots of real world examples to give context to the course. I found doing a few sample questions at the end of the sessions helpful. I had a great two weeks and am actually looking forward to getting stuck back into the revision element before taking the exam :)”

“Excellent training for the IAPP's CIPM certification delivered by an experienced privacy professional. Great course material and support. Online delivery can be a bit impersonal. However, Julie was extremely engaging, often prompting group discussions on the application of the content in our own work environments to embed the learning. Highly recommended.”

“The GDPR BCS Foundation course was very comprehensive and well-covered, with good resources and an excellent highly expert trainer. “An excellent course led by an extremely knowledgeable trainer. All information was provided including the course manual, pre-course reading, mock exam questions, legislation and Approved Codes of practice. The study exercises are particularly useful. Joyce delivered the course in small manageable sections and ensured we understood fully and encouraged us to ask questions and discuss. The company are very helpful and its website also offers a plethora of information. I really enjoyed this course and would recommend it to anyone interested in FOI. 10 out of 10!”

“A brilliant company that provides plenty of useful information as pre-reading and planning ahead of the training, but also delivers the courses really well, ensuring all understand the material as each section is discussed. There is exam and revision planning, Mock tests, and plenty of advice as to what the certificate provider is expecting from you on the test. Lots of experience that is shared by the tutor, and you are welcome to stay in touch, ask questions about the subject matter after you have taken the training/tests, and encouragement to use both the materials provided as well as links to on line reference documents. Would highly recommend this trainer, very good value for money.”

“I have recently started a new role in Information Governance in the public sector. Much of my work relates to data protection and it was suggested to me that the BCS Foundation Certificate in Data Protection would be a good starting point. I had previously worked as an archivist in local authority for many years in local authority and felt quite ‘at sea’ in this new environment. The course offered by Freevacy has helped greatly in providing me with background and context. Throughout the week of the course, which was offered remotely, many things in my new role began to make sense. The tutor explained the concepts in a very accessible way and was very supportive. It was useful to listen to the discussions of more experienced course participants and very helpful to work on practice questions, I found the course enjoyable and hugely beneficial for my new role and would recommend it to others starting out in data protection.”

“Absolutely brilliant course, would recommend it to anyone. Our course leader, Julie, was brilliant! She made sure we were all included in the group, dealt with any IT issues and was incredibly well informed and made what can be a very heavy subject interesting and fun. She went over and above every day with supplying the students with additional resources and information and made herself available to everyone. Cannot speak highly enough of her. Likewise, the admin team have been nothing but supportive and helpful, answering any questions quickly and efficiently. The whole team were really approachable and friendly. I look forward to attending another course as soon as I can. :)”

“I've had the most enriching time with Julie- the sessions were interactive and informative. I also appreciate the time and effort Julie put into the training, going through all our questions, doubts, and even handed out relevant material for the certification quickly.
