“We hired a motorhone at the end of October for a week. We found the company excellent to hire from. We had a few minor issues whilst away, a quick phone call and they were soon sorted out.”

“The handover by Greg was excellent. We’d only a choice of the biggest 8.9m long with the back rack down, but the vehicle was easy to drive. Finding parking spaces took planning! We had no hot water for the first three days. The electronics showing a gas error. We cured it. No discount was offered. In truth we didn’t ask. Might have been nice to make some gesture as hiring for a week wasnt cheap. The smoke detector alarm battery went flat on the first morning at 5am - got awoken by a beeping. The vehicle was very well equipped, clean and tidy. Club membership also good feature. We never used the shower. Plenty of storage for a family of four. We travelled with rear seats down to save making up bed in the evenings. We did have trouble filling the water tanks and allow plenty of time to drain the tanks. The vehicle was well equipped to the point that we’d have done another 3-4 weeks in it easy! All in all a very pleasant touring experience and well managed and organised by Freedhome team who were all very helpful and pleasant.”

“Very enjoyable week. Slight apprehension about toilet cassette and ability to drive but these were fine. Main quibbles were difficulty making weekend communication and I think we required more pre journey information on bringing on the hot water. All-in-all, would definitely do again and thoroughly enjoyed.”

“As our first trip by motorhome was in May, we were delighted at the size of the motorhome. It had all the amenities you would need to be self sufficient anywhere in the country. We would definitely hire from freedhome in the future”

“Not Happy ,picked up motorhome from southampton branch head light not working , no problem only driving to goodwood 40 miles away and staying for three days. on return drop van off guy checked van said every thing ok , signed i pad when home they tried to charged me for car parking ,tv licence (tv didn't work ) and not cleaning the toilet cassette.”

Good morning David, I feel that you have left a review on the wrong company site, we do not have a branch in Southampton as we are based in Manchester, equally we do not and have never charged for a TV Licence and car parking, perhaps you can consider and look to remove your review from our site and post your review with the company that you hired from. “The customer service was second to none but on our way to the camp site a wheel trim came off on the motorway unbeknown to us and we have been charged £47 to replace it. Please make sure that all the wheel hubs are secure and fitting correctly before you set off.”

“Very good customer service. Jane and Angela were brilliant. Just a couple of problems - we hired a Da Vinci and were told that included a welcome hamper and a coffee machine - none of which were in the motor home. Also the TV which should have been un the bedroom wasn't there. None of these made any difference to our enjoyment but what did was the fact that were 4 of us but they only put in bedding/towels for 2. This did spoil our break as we had to use coats and fleeces to put over us at night and getting showered was a nightmare - 2 towels for 4 people. We didn't take our own bedding or towels as we were informed that "John Lewis" bedding was included in the Da Vinci. Apart from the above we had an excellent time.”
