“Sadly I think my expectations of how much protection the sealer would give to the block paving recently laid was greater than the protection given. The directions for use was strictly followed. However when an animal left a deposit on the block paving a stain was still visible how ever hard I brushed. Also after a heavy downpour some of the sand between the block paving was displaced which I would have expected the sealer to have formed some sort of layer over everything. I do have a photo that can be supplied.”

The product purchased was not a block paving sealer. It was a penetrating sealer for granite pavers/slabs which acts as a liquid/water repellent. It does not solidify sand - to solidify sand you would need to apply a sealer specifically for block pavers which also solidifies sand. We are not sure what the animal deposit was but if it was bird droppings or other you would need to use a cleaning agent to dissolve the surface deposits and then rinse away after a suitable dwell time.

“Obtaining was ok, and I got a quick response from the company to photos that I sent with my query. but despite recommending the patio spring clean , it made no impression on removing staining from my porcelain tiled patio. I used neat, several times , to no avail. Disappointed, £36 wasted, still found no product to remove staining.”

Perhaps a little unfair? You could not identify what the stain was or where it was coming from. As you have found nothing that can remove the mark prior to asking our advice or since suggests you cannot ID the issue. We can only advise based on likelihood of removal - we advised testing a product and gave an alternative even though we do not manufacture/sell/stock the alternative. Your enquiry stated the below - My new porcelain patio, a few weeks old, edged with logs. I think something from the logs has caused the stain but not sure. Tried baking soda, white vinegar and washing up liquid etc, but nothing moving. Keen to find a cleaner that will remove the staining. Our reply - We would recommend testing Floorseal Porcelain Patio Spring Clean as the staining looks like tannin. Test undiluted. You could also try oxalic acid, but we do not manufacture this type of product.

“Disappointed. I asked the company whether their concrete sealer could be painted over with an appropriate concrete floor paint. They said yes. I purchased a deep penetrating floor sealer from them and applied it as per manufacturers instructions. I then found out that deep penetrating concrete sealer can't be painted over so I'm stuffed.”

Our advice was correct - The enquiry you made was regarding over painting Floorseal Concrete Floor Sealer our reply was - Floorseal Concrete Floor Sealer is over paintable with a masonry paint after sealing – allow at least 24 hrs before doing so. It appears you then purchased a penetrating sealer which is not over paintable. Our advice was correct based on the question asked, we have no control over which product was purchased online at a later date.

“I used your own black spot remover plus last year and was really pleased with results, I’ve just used patio cleaner plus on the same Indian stone and the results are no where near the same , I ordered the patio cleaner plus because I had no black spot but I wish I had ordered the black spot remover plus again”

“Website easy to navigate and very prompt dispatch of order (3 identical items). Good product at a resonable price. Parcel Force delivery a shambles. One delivered the following day, one delivered 3 days later having been sent to Chorley and not Nottingham, the last delivered 7 days later having been sent to the Isle of Man!”

Apologies, one item was miss sorted by the courier. The items purchased all weigh 23kg and have to travel separately. You selected a free economy service for your delivery, therefore they were dispatched as such. The first x2 items arrived within the 3-5 days schedule selected at checkout. The third item was a miss sort and arrived shortly after. If you require a faster delivery service please select this service at checkout. If an item arrives more quickly than the 3-5 days stated (as free economy) it does not guarantee all items will do so. In this case one item fell outside of this shipping speed, so apologies again for this.
