“More than ten years on from completing the Event Academy course, I can say without hesitation that it was one of the most important decisions I made at the beginning of my career. At the time, I knew I wanted to work in events, design and experiences, but I didn’t yet fully understand what that career could look like or how to find my place within the industry. Especially as a foreign student coming from a little town like Florence. The Event Academy gave me far more than a qualification. It gave me a real understanding of the industry, practical experience, confidence, and most importantly, a way into a world that can otherwise feel quite difficult to access from the outside. The work placement they arranged for me was at Avantgarde, at the time one of the strongest events agencies in London. Ten years later, I am still very proudly flying the flag for the events industry. I now work as an Executive Producer and consultant across London, New York and Los Angeles, Paris, Milan and collaborating with some of the best agencies in the world across fashion, luxury, experiential and culture, and delivering projects for global brands I could only have dreamed of working with when I first started. My career has taken me through an incredible range of experiences, from fashion shows and brand activations to large-scale live events, retail installations and international productions. I have had the opportunity to lead teams, work alongside brilliant creative talent and build a career that has taken me all over the world. None of that happened overnight, and a huge amount of hard work, curiosity and determination came afterwards, but the Event Academy genuinely helped kick-start it all. It gave me the first foundations, the first network and, perhaps most importantly, the belief that this could become a real career. Looking back now, I feel incredibly grateful that I took that first step. If someone is serious about building a career in events and is prepared to work hard, be curious and throw themselves into every opportunity, I can say from experience that the Event Academy can be an incredibly powerful place to start. I certainly wouldn’t be where I am today without it. Just a small reflection and praise 10 years apart ❤️‍🩹”

“I would 100% recommend The Event Academy to anyone looking to break into the events industry, just like I was. I recently completed the Intensive Diploma as my first step towards a career in events and although the three weeks were intense (which was definitely to be expected!), I genuinely loved every second of it. I've always had a passion for events but I was relatively new to the industry when I started. I'm leaving the course feeling like I've gained a huge amount of knowledge and confidence, and while I'm sure there's still plenty to learn once I start working, I now feel equipped with a really solid foundation. The lecturers were fantastic and delivered engaging sessions throughout. One of the things I appreciated most was that no question ever felt too obvious or silly. There was always space for discussion, conversation and curiosity, which created such a supportive learning environment. It was also amazing to be surrounded by people who shared the same passion for events. I've definitely made some friends for life along the way. Being taught in different venues across London was another highlight and made the experience even more interesting and immersive. My favourite part of the course was the client project. It was hard work and definitely pushed us, but seeing the final results made it all worthwhile. The support from the faculty throughout the programme was outstanding, and the course itself was incredibly well-structured and organised from start to finish. Overall, it's been an amazing experience that has confirmed I made the right decision to pursue a career in events. I couldn't recommend it more highly. Now onto getting a job in the events industry!”

Their courses offer highly respected industry and academic qualifications that give you the perfect launchpad for a successful career. They don't just teach you the essentials; they truly set you up for long-term success. The exceptional support you receive lasts a lifetime. I graduated all the way back in 2013, yet over a decade later, the Student Services team stepped up to help me secure my next career move. Assisting alumni with job placement isn't their official job description, but they took it on with amazing enthusiasm and professional care. “I completed the Event Management Online Diploma with The Event Academy and found it extremely valuable, especially alongside a busy working schedule. The course content is well structured, easy to follow and clearly written by people with real industry experience, not just theory. What I particularly liked was how practical the modules were, covering everything from event planning and logistics through to budgeting, marketing and client management. The flexibility of studying online was a huge plus, allowing me to work through the course at my own pace. Support was responsive and constructive. “The Event Academy is brilliant! I studied the online Post Graduate Diploma in 2018/2019 whilst living overseas and I can't tell you how much I learnt during that time. It was truly amazing learning from fabulous tutors, so many resources to hook into, support from other students on the course and ongoing support even after finishing. Fast forward all those years and I still refer to my course notes - I have two notebooks, full of scribble, diagrams, highlights and post its and whilst they are in a cupboard under my desk, I probably look at them once a month. It was so worth the investment! 110% recommend the course.”

“It has been seven years since I earned my Postgraduate Diploma in Event Management for Marketing and Communication—graduating with distinction—and I can confidently say the impact has been immeasurable. I brought to the course years of experience as both a practitioner and educator in the discipline at the School of Arts Management and Humanities in Jamaica, yet the fresh insights, global perspectives, and strategic approaches I gained from the program elevated my practice in unexpected ways. The curriculum, already rich and comprehensive, pivoted during the COVID-19 pandemic to address the evolving realities of the industry, adding even more depth to the learning experience. It’s intense and all-encompassing—covering areas that may initially seem peripheral but ultimately prove invaluable in the field. My advice? Inhale deeply, submerge yourself fully, and soak up every ounce of knowledge—it all becomes relevant. A recent example: at the Healing Conference for the Anglican Diocese of Jamaica and the Cayman Islands, held at the Royalton Luxury Hotel and Spa in Negril, which I was privileged to play key roles, I found myself applying lessons from one of my student assignments that I never imagined I’d revisit. I led a team coordinating with a destination management company to secure competitive hotel rates, airport pickups in Montego Bay (their network was exceptional), and ground transportation for attendees from across Jamaica, the Cayman Islands, Florida, Canada, and Nassau. Navigating these logistics with “gentle firmness” was both challenging and rewarding—and it reaffirmed just how practical and applicable the course content truly is. I continue to recommend and endorse this program wholeheartedly. It was money well spent. The lecturers were knowledgeable and accessible, the course content clear and relevant, and the assignments—though demanding—were incredibly engaging. Best of all, the qualification opens doors globally, whether you're managing large-scale productions or intimate community events.”
