Ordered The lagę glencairn mixer glass as soon as I opened the packaging the pewter base. Came straight off the glass. Very bad quality

I found the advertising of the product I ordered, a pewter tankard, ambiguous. I expected my requested engraving to replace the existing words. This was not the case, they were added to the opposite side of the tankard. This made for a very confusing gift! This is my error I'm sure. I called to discuss this and left a message. No one has returned my call.

Hi Claire, I can see that the tankard your ordered was specifically for a 50th birthday or anniversary, the description does state that "a personalised message can be added on the rear by opting for our engraving service" I apologise that you have not been satisfied at this time. -MH

The glass arrived with my daughters name engraved incorrectly, while I’m informed a new one is on its way she hadn’t noticed and gave the incorrect one to her dad on his special birthday and was embarrassed and highly upset that is was incorrect and now she doesn’t have a gift for him. Although I appreciate a new one being done I think some money back would have perhaps been a nice gesture for the inconvenience and given it will now arrive after his birthday.

Hello, I think that you have completely misunderstood the order sent I you for this present. My name is Michael Howe. I ordered this present to be sent to Janet Thomas for her 80th birthday. You managed to create her as the recipient of the billing statement, you agreed to change the billing recipient to me, but from a later copy that did not seem to have happened. The items I bought are very nice looking, but should be thicker because they are very delicate due to the thinness of the pewter. Not at all suited for carrying at ren. fairs because they can be easily dented or damaged. More of a"at home" novelty.

It’s not very clear, where on the glass the engraving will be or how the chosen font will appear. It would be nice to have a preview, once chosen selections and text are made. Alternatively one tab, with specific location of where the engraving will be installed. Thank you

The pewter bagpiper on top broke away from the silicon stopper on day one when I used it. Had to repair with super glue agin but the same failure just happened repeatedly. It doesn't have the quality that Pewter Co products used to be, but more a cheap souvenir from any tourist gift shop on the street.

I bought the 6 oz hip flask with leather pouch, and loved it at first… but I packed it with me empty in my checked baggage when I went on a trip to Asia last month and it sunk in terribly (due to air pressure?) permanently bending and completely ruined the flask. I’m disappointed because it’s really a swell flask, but had no idea it would do such a thing. You’d think something of such quality would hold up (or at least give you a warning not to travel in the air with it.

My 3oz Slimline Pewter Flask arrived nicely packaged and in a timely manner. The flask feels good in the hand- nice weight and the cap feels robust and high quality overall. However the final polishing job was rather poor- the "shoulders"/ corners of the flask have deep marks. More care needs to be taken with polishing for a uniform appearance as I was quite disappointed- but have ordered the appropriate pewter polish to sort it myself in 20 mins or so rather than sending it back. Would have happily given 5 stars to this lovely flask had extra care been taken in finishing and QC. I would order again from this company; I like the feel of the pewter and the designs on offer are lovely. I shall just bare in mind I may have to work on the items with a Cape Cod cloth! Lastly- the plastic funnel is fine and does the job. This cost cutting measure doesn't bother me and this would still gift well.

I paid for next day delivery - on the next day the delivery company said they attempted delivery, but I was in all day. So I had to cancel meetings for the following day to be at home again. I emailed English Pewter Company to request a refund for the extra delivery cost but got no response. Happy with the hip flask but disappointed to have wasted money on the fastest delivery, and not to have had that cost reduced.
