“I had all my tires done at the same time, but when I started driving in the car, not quite right so I checked all the tyre pressures on each one was different”

“Regret to report that although correct tyres fitted I can now see (after the rubber lube gunge has been wiped off) that each of my previously perfect very expensive rims has been damaged by the fitting machine or tyre lever. I have taken it to Porsche and their technician pointed this out to me prior to their work. I will call in with photographs as after a very long association with the Eastbourne depot I am very upset by this.”

“Not happy with my new tyre fitted just before Christmas. Bought 2 new tyres, drove away and shortly afterwards my tyre deflation warning light came on. Returned car to garage where mechanic told me their tyre pressure gauge was faulty and they had over filled one tyre and under filled the other. Was told this had been put right. Spent all Xmas/New Year with tyre deflation warning light and tyre that after a week was registering zero. Therefore hardly able to drive my car at all. Phoned garage to report (also emailed but no response) the problem, no apology, my partner returned car to garage and suggested mechanic check the valve setting. Turns out this was the cause of my tyre deflating but only discovered on third visit and a lot of inconvenience. Won’t be returning here”

“Helpful, quick sourcing of tyres, conscientious mechanics. But no booking of a timed slot, even for a 2nd visit to fit tyres ordered after a 1st visit. So be prepared to wait. And wait.”

“My wife's car had the air on serviced which I think went OK, what was annoying when I asked for a price I was quoted £60 but the bill came too £72 because the VAT was not mentioned in the quote. I know we all have to pay the VAT but it would be fair to include this in a quote and give the customer a better idea what the final bill would be . We are a little disappointed.”

“Failed my MOT due to a tyre tread depth and some other issues and quoted me £250 for the work. Would be £305, with the cost of another MOT. Got the work done at my usual place for £150. Wouldn’t go back.”

“Labour cost is competitive. Staff friendly and knowledgeable. The only downside of my experience with my local elite garage was that the guys were flat out and answering the phones as well. Someone manning reception permanently is needed.”

“Cannot fault them for the assistance they gave us storing our car over Christmas and fitting new tyre on first day of opening. All sounds good? Well unfortunately not quite all good as tyre pressure light still on when collected and told it would go off with use. It didn’t and we had to make another stop to increase the pressure in the tyre. A bit more care would have been appreciated to check the pressure!”

“Unfortunately on this occasion I was quoted one price then at the point of paying I was given a more expensive bill. I pointed out the change and was able to pay the original price quoted.”

“Need a better timed booking in system as most garages give you a time not just turn up in the morning or after and wait am or pm does not work . I booked an am slot and when I turned up they said it would be a 2.5 hour wait till they could start it the second time it was a 2 hour wait . Maybe give people time slots so they know what time to turn up and it will be done”

“Very polite and helpful staff but unfortunately left my car with dirty hand marks all over inside the car after checking internally. Also, prior service I had right dipped headlight message coming up which still is meaning I need to fix it elsewhere.”

“No problem with the work, but when the guy collecting the payment behind the counter gave his opinion to the person in front "I have no problem killing a cyclist, but I couldn't be bothered with the paperwork" ... ... ...”

“I am always full of praise for this garage which always does an excellent job with my tiers/exhausts etc. This time they filled my AC and did it in a good timely fashion. Unfortunately this time as I was checking my oil/water etc before a long journey, the next day, I saw two loose plastic caps in the cill under the bonnet. which I suspect would have been lost on the intended journey. It appeared that they had not been put back after the AC fill. I checked with them on the way to London that day and was advised as to where they went and I screwed them over the AC access points as they should have been. Normally I would give 5 out of 5 and would have done so again but for this slip up.”

“Had 4x new tyres fitted, so just an average job. Appointment was booked for 14.30, i left the garage around 5pm. I expected it to take around an hour to fit, not 2.5 hours. I grew up in the motortrade/mechanic industry, so I am well aware how long most jobs usually take based on complexity etc. I'm a little disappointed with how long it took to fit them but reality is the 4 tyres are on the car, my alloys are intact (still mint) and I won't have to refit for a while, so I'm not overly bothered - it is what it is. Mechanics were all very friendly and polite. I would have liked to give a better rating, buy it wasn't exactly a complicated job, and should not have taken so long.”

“Customer-facing skills are somewhat lacking. A smile and a "How can I help?" would go a long way to improve things. Disappointed no paperwork was available to prove tracking and balancing were carried out. I have always been given these at other garages.”

“Gary and the team are always helpful and friendly. Even if unsure on something, they never turn me away and are never rude, unlike other local garages. On this occasion, they didn't put on the document I got from them which states what the work was for- which negatively impacts the claim I have with the previous garage and there was also some damage incurred during work taken here on my side skirt.”
