“A very welcoming experience . . . my quick browse became a thoroughly enjoyable shop: I bought three pairs of shoes! I also benefitted from helpful advice about inserts to deal with my numerous foot complaints. I think this is the first time I've been able to "try before I buy" and I'm very happy with my purchases. Lovely range of shoes for all occasions too - and a friendly chat about dogs and their "walkies" which was fun.”

“A lovely shop to visit. Hal is always very helpful and a very pleasant gentleman to talk to.Last year I was looking for some Brown winter boots.Hal did'nt have them in size 6, So he ordered them in for me and phoned to let me know as soon as they had arrived in the shop. I was in the shop again 4 weeks ago, looking for some summer walking shoes/ sandals, (very comfy) aswell! Nothing was too much trouble for Hal. Plenty of choice, for me.Lovely well made quality shoes/sandals.that are that little bit different and modern.Especially if you need a slightly wider fitting shoe. Thankyou Hal For making me feel welcome.”

“I was very pleased with my purchase and the way I was treated. I do however usually back off and leave a shop when someone approaches me when I'm browsing...this did happen but I was so keen to have the goods I put up with it and eventually accepted this was just the personality of the owner. I always think a customer needs to get a feel for the products and layout of the shop, with time to browse. If this is denied, they might just leave or only buy what they came in for without the chance to discover something else they like or hadn't seen before.”

“Excellent service,great product knowledge and very personable attitude. Went into the shop, variety of styles attractively displayed. Went to look round which I had been meaning to do for months........and of course couldn't resist buying a pair of summer canvas shoes, just that little bit different and reasonably priced, felt my purchase just had the edge!!
