“Heidi was great with the children and managed to teach them a lot in a short space of time. The song choice was not what was expected as it was not really 'Street Dance' and was more pop. The session also felt a little rushed. This was my own timetable so it was my own fault but I feel a little advice or being asked a question about children's ability beforehand would have prompted me to book a longer session.”

It is great to hear that the children enjoyed their Chinese Dance Workshop with Jo and had a great time with our Dragon. In regards to learning about Chinese culture - this is actually scheduled to be covered at the start of each session. We understand from speaking with Jo that a number of the sessions started late due to classes over running. Whilst we appreciate that this does sometimes happen, unfortunately, when sessions start late we have to cut our content short to adhere to the timetable that is shared and agreed upon when the booking is confirmed. We hope the children look back on their wonderful experience and carry on to enjoy dance and learning! We would love to visit you again to share more happy Dance Days! Melanie@DanceDays.

“Teacher came on time and prepared with a copy of the timetable we had sent over. Dance routines were very good and well suited to the age of the children. Teacher came dressed in Indian dress which added to the experience. The children enjoyed taking part and it was nice that they had the opportunity to perform the finished dance to each other.”

“On the whole, the children enjoyed the dance workshops and it was amazing what they learned in the given time slot. However, feedback from all staff was that, even though very skilled, our dancer wasn't very energetic and enthusiastic, one staff member commented that she lacked oomph. This was a bit disappointing because we really wanted the dance workshop to be the memorable part of the week, but most children who gave pupil feedback on our International Week as a whole, did not list the dance workshop as one of the highlights.”

“The day was a huge success. Laura (our instructor) was prompt, friendly and innovative. The dances that she created were appropriate to the pupil's learning and her workshops certainly kicked our whole school week off with a bang! One star was taken off, just for pricing options as the workshops were quite pricey for what we received but overall a great success all round!”

We are so pleased that your pupils enjoyed their Mixed Dance Workshop with Laura. It is great to hear that the dances were enjoyed and relevant to your learning schedule. We hope that the children continue to enjoy dance :-) Whilst we take your pricing feedback on board, we are confident that we are more than fairly priced in comparison to our competitors, especially for a double-form workshop, which will always come at a higher premium. It is also worth noting that when a workshop covers multiple dance styles/themes it is very hard to be able to transport props for every style covered. We do use several props in our full day-specific style workshops, so we will review our multi-style workshops and see how we can enhance the sessions going forward. Thank you for taking the time to leave us this lovely review - your feedback is greatly received. Leah really enjoyed showcasing the Flamenco Dance Workshop with your children. Leah's dress was inspired by the classical Flamenco dancers style of sophisticated black dresses, with heels and a red rose in the hair. The aim was to bring an authentic vibe to the workshop. We can definately look at incorporating the brighter, more modern Flamenco outfits to our dress range in the future. “The facilitator was really good. He was energetic and was encouraging of all the children to join in. He made sure everyone was involved. When I asked my class, they said that as well as dance he actually gave them more information on Brazil and the tribes too. Even those that hate dance said they would like to do it again. Very pleased! Practitioner was very skilled and managed the group well. Workshop had linked to the year groups focus text. The movement was organised with music being linked to the atmosphere of the book. Pupils really enjoyed themselves and were proud to have a completed performance.”

We have found in the past that using PowerPoint brought a more formal feel to the dance workshops and took away from the overall vibe or fun in physical activity. That being said, we will consider this feedback when we review our workshop structure in the future. It is great to hear that the children enjoyed their time with Darren during their Amazon Dance Workshop. Its especially wonderful that all children felt engaged and wanted to take part, and the fact that the children who have said they were not initially keen on Dance previously have found enjoyment and a benefit from the workshop is great.
