Absolutely delighted with the Sunburst 6 seater teak garden patio set. Beautiful wood and very well finished. Has been in use most days since delivery which was very quick and efficient. Items all extremely well packed. The website is easy to navigate and the staff most helpful. Highly recommend this company.

All good - there are a couple of cracks in the timber top. We await confirmation of stock availability concerning a set of chair and table covers. We are pleased with our choice of furniture just tad disappointed regards the crack and the covers and the lack of contact to keep us informed since. Regards Mike

In August we bought a Deauville 8 seater garden set and here’s some thoughts about our acquisition: - • A friend bought a table and chairs from Humber Imports and we were impressed with the smooth finish and how solid the furniture was. • So we ordered online and got a call from Humber Imports confirming our order and saying we would get a couple of days notice of delivery. In the event we got 15 minutes warning of the delivery from the truck driver, I’m not sure what would have happened if we were out / away for a few days? • The lorry had a pallet truck and we were able to get the goods near our garage and the driver swiftly departed. We had to break down the pallet immediately as we were blocking our lane. The chairs and particularly the table are very heavy but we just managed to move them into our garage along with a 1 x 1.2m pallet we hadn’t reckoned on. They were well packaged. • Putting the legs onto the table was straight forward and comes with instructions which are fairly idiot proof. • The table and chairs were beautiful teak but we felt that we would like further protection for the wood so we purchased “OLI-Natura Yacht and Teak Oil, Natur - Uncoloured”. It was quite a labour of love putting two coats onto the chairs and table but the teak came to life and looks magnificent. • Several of the joints in both the table and chairs have been glued and the glue has been allowed to run. Where there was dried glue, the teak oil is not absorbed which leaves discoloured patches around joints but most are not immediately obvious. • Whilst painting on the teak oil our attention was drawn to several marks and scratches on the table surface and then we found that the small beams that supported the butterfly table extensions were not secured very well and both were coming away from the underside of the table. We had to drill new holes and put in more screws and glue to fix these beams back in place. • It is very easy to put too much teak oil onto the wood and it will run and leave marks. You need to wipe down all surfaces after applying the oil to ensure an even finish. • We also purchased covers for the table and chairs. They are sized for the furniture, but we are disappointed in their water proofing quality as they are already allowing some moisture through them onto the furniture. We are not sure how much use the covers will be over a Scottish winter and we will have to source alternative ones. Whilst the table and chairs look good, the construction of them is basic, simple, mass produced but solid. The finish is good and the teak oil has brought the wood to life. We are pleased with our purchase except for the covers which are disappointing. Now all we need is sunny weather …..

The price of the product is cheaper than others around. I was disappointed with manufacturing faults on opening the table and chairs. The company gave me a small refund to compensate.

We have bought two benches from Humber, very pleased with both. First delivered v quickly, second order I received a phone call to tell me due to the current situation it wouldn’t be as fast - great customer service - but still delivered well within the predicted time frame. Very pleased. Would recommend.

This furniture is not first quality. It must be acknowledged that this furniture is cheap for teak garden furniture. Good quality teak garden outside furniture should last between 10-15 years . I bought a set 5 years ago and had to make some repairs on arrival. I am fairly handy and have a workshop at home. Last year I started re-glueing the joints in the chairs. I have re-glued 2 chairs so far and have one more to do. A couple of weeks ago a chair collapsed out of the blue and on inspection the leg was completely rotten with White Rot, a fungal disease similar to dry rot; a surprise as chairs stored under covers all winter. I carved a new leg in the workshop only to discover afterwards that the rot had in fact spread through the joints into the body of the chair. It is un - repairable. I think a fair judgment here is that the furniture is cheap but it is not top quality and probably should be regarded as likely to need replacement after 5 or 6 years. You must make a judgement as to whether this is what you want.
