Overall this was a very disappointing experience. I wish I'd researched a little better before ordering. Customer communication is extremely poor. There is no working telephone number to call (this alone should have been a red flag), and response to emails took weeks. At one point I was convinced I had been scammed! The original items delivered were badly cracked, and seat cushions were torn. They replaced the items without quibble, which was great, but didn't bother to contact me to arrange a delivery date for this, despite asking several times. The replacement items were also a problem, as the threads that you screw into were not biting so could not be assembled, and several had rusted out completely. Luckily my husband is an engineer and was able to sort this out. At this point we were totally fed up constantly chasing and waiting, and didn't want the hassle of repackaging everything and returning yet again. One remaining seat cushions was missed on the replacement so we had to wait a further 2 weeks for this. It was well over a month from ordering before we ended up with the furniture we can use. In terms of quality the teak is thick and nicely designed. I hope it will last. The cushions are thick but the covers are thin, with multiple threads pulling at seams. I don't think these will last and will need recovering. The high customer ratings are strange, and not at all reflective of my experience. I would advise caution before ordering. Buyer beware.

Hello Mr Mills. I'm struggling to understand the reasoning behind the review. You bought two benches by accident, of which you were immediately refunded. Two benches had already been dispatched as per your order, of which you informed us one had arrived at your address damaged, so after your email we contacted you and had it collected. Regarding the couriers, the benches only weigh 18KG so they're happy to collect with one man. That's not our decision, that's entirely at their discretion. Anyway, I hope you like your bench and you and your wife get many years of use out of it. Best regards, Mark.

Furniture is good quality however very much let down by the dispatch/delivery process. Due to poor packaging or careless handling we had to reject a chair and a steamer chair. In both cases the cardboard boxes were badly damaged. I believe they had either been dropped or thrown about. No issue with Humber Imports when I emailed pictures of the damage, replacement items were sent which leads me to think this isn't an isolated incident.

I bought two Lutchens benches and one was badly damaged. Very embarrassing as it was a gift for my daughter. Delivery was good, price also competitive but I am disappointed with the quality and particularly the condition of the second bench. To have to return it meant re-packing, leaving it somewhere safe and secure for collection and waiting for a new one as the company was out of stock.

Thanks for coming back to me, just to let you know one of the teak benches you supplied. Had one of the legs 12 millimetre shorter than the other ones fitted to the same bench. We then had to screw a small packer onto the leg to make it level. We did this to save the inconvenience of returning back to you & waiting for a replacement. If you want me to send a photo I can do , but as I run my own business time is of the essence. Thanks & Regards. Charles Russell

Have had 8 seat extending teak garden furniture since March 2014 - still in excellent condition. Recently had need to contact customer services regarding problem with one of the centre hinges - replacements were received free of charge by return. Recommend highly.

Good customer service, quality product, sadly let down by abysmal attitude if delivery driver who dumped full pallet in front of our drive so we could not move our car in order to get our delivery in. When asked to move it told us it's kerbside delivery and it's on the kerbside, he's too busy to move it and left.

Lovely product. Absolutely terrible delivery service. The driver asked if I could unload a pallet off the lorry for him!

Good customer service in the central office. Lovely products and reasonable price, however sadly a few defects so I will unfortunately be returning them.

In August we bought a Deauville 8 seater garden set and here’s some thoughts about our acquisition: - • A friend bought a table and chairs from Humber Imports and we were impressed with the smooth finish and how solid the furniture was. • So we ordered online and got a call from Humber Imports confirming our order and saying we would get a couple of days notice of delivery. In the event we got 15 minutes warning of the delivery from the truck driver, I’m not sure what would have happened if we were out / away for a few days? • The lorry had a pallet truck and we were able to get the goods near our garage and the driver swiftly departed. We had to break down the pallet immediately as we were blocking our lane. The chairs and particularly the table are very heavy but we just managed to move them into our garage along with a 1 x 1.2m pallet we hadn’t reckoned on. They were well packaged. • Putting the legs onto the table was straight forward and comes with instructions which are fairly idiot proof. • The table and chairs were beautiful teak but we felt that we would like further protection for the wood so we purchased “OLI-Natura Yacht and Teak Oil, Natur - Uncoloured”. It was quite a labour of love putting two coats onto the chairs and table but the teak came to life and looks magnificent. • Several of the joints in both the table and chairs have been glued and the glue has been allowed to run. Where there was dried glue, the teak oil is not absorbed which leaves discoloured patches around joints but most are not immediately obvious. • Whilst painting on the teak oil our attention was drawn to several marks and scratches on the table surface and then we found that the small beams that supported the butterfly table extensions were not secured very well and both were coming away from the underside of the table. We had to drill new holes and put in more screws and glue to fix these beams back in place. • It is very easy to put too much teak oil onto the wood and it will run and leave marks. You need to wipe down all surfaces after applying the oil to ensure an even finish. • We also purchased covers for the table and chairs. They are sized for the furniture, but we are disappointed in their water proofing quality as they are already allowing some moisture through them onto the furniture. We are not sure how much use the covers will be over a Scottish winter and we will have to source alternative ones. Whilst the table and chairs look good, the construction of them is basic, simple, mass produced but solid. The finish is good and the teak oil has brought the wood to life. We are pleased with our purchase except for the covers which are disappointing. Now all we need is sunny weather …..

The price of the product is cheaper than others around. I was disappointed with manufacturing faults on opening the table and chairs. The company gave me a small refund to compensate.

Great real table and chairs. Looks good and seems solid and good quality. Unfortunately this is table 3 as the first 2 were both broken. Humber were good about it and sorted it promptly but really...

Chair instructions misleading. Must fit seat before fixing rest! Had to saw seat in half to position it. Otherwise happy. Looks good. Good price. Coffee table had some minor damage but not enough to complain. Easy to put together and nice finish.

Garden bench arrived on time. However, several joints were broken and had been glued but had split again and one piece of the back had also split. We managed to glue it back together but not sure how long it will last

The product is adequate. It'll do until a proper one is delivered. Ordered, awaiting delivery, they say. Four holes didn't line up, and the parts were seemingly randomly labelled. Four screws left over too as they failed to do anything, but. The real one is a stunner, and we await with trepidation the delivery.

Table superb but back legs of chairs not as substantial as front hence legs of 2 chairs have broken, without warning and third soon to follow. Humber Imports comment £70 each to replace.
