“The assessor's visit was stressful and unpleasant. Comments on us and on the house, that had no relation to the survey were made repeatedly. The original fee ended up being more than double. The assessor also made a lot of comments to make us feel he was going to have to do a lot more work in order to deliver the report. He also asked in a shouty voice whether we expected a good energy performance rating. It made us feel that if we didn't pay enough he was going to write an inaccurate report. Can't recommend this company.”

I apologise that you felt that way madam, But your property in question was a very complicated house . You had multiple extensions, flat and pitched roofs. You also had multiple different glazing UPVC double glazed with a 1.6 thermal gap, Wood double glazing with 1.2 thermal gap and single glazed windows. Your house also had 2 different heating systems one was underfloor heating with a programmer and more than two room thermostats and the other was a boiler with thermostat and thermal control valves. Are you also had a secondary gas fire heating system. As on the site visit I did explain that there is going to be a price difference, as there is going to be a lot more data collection and calculations. I gave you a choice that I would leave free of charge and not charge you for the visit that day, or there will be an increase of fee to carry on and complete the assessment. You told me kindly to carry on. As you can appreciate your house with the extension came over 185 m². An average house is approximately no bigger 90 m². I also have to work out the percentages of the heating systems you had to follow the conventions. The property received a D grade.
