Chorley Bottle Gas Ltd is a family run business, established in 2003 dedicated to providing a friendly, efficient and professional service to our customers.

We deal in all aspects of bottled gas within Chorley, Horwich, Bolton, Wigan, Preston and the surrounding areas.

We are main agents for Calor Gas offering a full range of cylinder sizes in Propane, Butane and BBQ gases giving our customers a Free Same Day Delivery service.

We supply Beer and Beverage Gas (cellar gas) to many local licensed premises and home users giving our clients the only true 24/7 emergency call out service in the area. There are no cylinder rental charges, delivery charges or contracts to sign!

Never got the delivery, and still no refund, sent me an email story I couldn't be bothered reading, excuses, I'v got one elsewhere, 👍.

Very disappointed with their customer service Had a bottle of lpg which was empty when I put it on I had had the bottle for3 months as a spare Not used When I explained this to customer service their attitude and response was it couldn’t be Gave the impression they didn’t believe what I had stated What happened to the customer is always right!!!!!!!

Hi Ian, I am sorry to hear you are disappointed with our service. We would have never given you a empty cylinder. Our staff would have know it was empty when they gave it to you by the weight. We handle these cylinders hundreds of times a week. So if the cylinder had been empty the member of staff would have know and not given it to you. You have had the cylinder for over THREE MONTHS. We do not know what has gone on with the cylinder whilst in your possession. If you had contacted us straight away then we may have done something for you. But THREE MONTHS after!!! Come on!!! I am sorry but no other shop, retailer or business would have given you another free cylinder of gas. Steve
Took the screwed handle off and the bottle is leaking, so I don’t know if I have a full bottle or not. Where is your quality assurance, this will cost me money to replace not good in the current environment,

Hi Glyn sorry to hear that , the bottles we supply come with a red seal tag on each bottle and we ensure this seal is intact and no leaks are evident. we would not send out a leaking bottle . If you would of contacted us straight away we could have resolved this. Kind regards Steve

Was informed when purchasing 47kg gas that deposit was mandatory but would be refunded in full on their return, when returning them l was informed no deposit would be available as the company is so busy & no records are kept with regards to deposit’s taken, even though they were supplying my LPG for nearly a year! Other suppliers do make their terms & conditions very transparent, but lm afraid this is not the case with Chorley Gas , in fact it would seem to me they look upon the deposits they take as some sort of tax free bonus! So please be aware be prepared to forfeit any deposit you hand over no matter how genuine & lovely they come across when conducting business initially

I will answer the poor review you have left today with the same answer as I gave you to yesterday's Ray. It is obvious you did not like my reply and decide to troll us ..... Like we have said to you numerous times, show us proof you paid a deposit and we are more than happy to fully refund it. Steve Good Morning Ray, As was discussed on the telephone with you yesterday at length, we do not return any deposits without proof of a deposit being paid. You had no paperwork to show that you had paid a deposit. All customers receive an invoice with the deposit paid shown on it, whether they have paid cash or card. Customers are told on purchase not to lose it as we do not return deposits without it. No exceptions. This is also printed in big bold letters on the rear of the invoice. We are under no obligation to keep records of customers' deposits paid (on the customer's behalf) that is the responsibility of the customer. If a customer brings one of our cylinders back in for return and deposit refund and has the accompanying paperwork showing the deposit paid or even a picture on their phone, we are more than happy to do so and have done so on many many occasions. Very disappointed with the delivery service as I paid £7.50 extra for a 24hour delivery service. This item was ordered on Wednesday, 2 March and arrived after 12noon on Friday, 4 March. No I do not wish to change my rating as this was more than a 24 hour delivery time frame. What an attitude Steve has.

We are extremely disappointed with the review and rating left here we find it very unfair. We have contacted the writer to try to rectify the issue and explain their confusion over same day dispatch and cut off points, but there is no reasoning with some people. Let me explain so the readers can make their minds up...... The order was placed on: Wednesday 2nd March 2022 at 16:39pm Our cut off point for same day dispatch is 2.00pm which is clearly displayed on our website for all to see. (Even though we generally still dispatch right up to when our courier picks up at 4.00pm) We processed the order the following morning, Thursday March 3rd at 8.03 am and sent it out on an overnight next working day delivery as promised like we always do. Our courier generally delivers between 8am and 4pm. If the delivery was required before 12noon then it is a premium service at an additional cost. The item was delivered on time Friday 4th as per our delivery ts & cs - clearly displayed on our website. We like most other businesses in the UK do not operate a delivery service like Amazon or Next where you can order at any time of the evening and expect next day delivery. There are dispatch cut off times and scheduled courier collections. We do not operate 24hr a day. Maybe next time you go to your local stockist for one of these items and pay at least another £10 -£20 more rather than having the luxury of it being delivered to your doorstep for you. I suggest next time you order online you check out the delivery details to save on your disapointment. Steve

The website would not accept your delivery order as we DO NOT DELIVER BEER GAS TO YOUR AREA only locally not nationally - as it told you in the checkout page! You still went ahead and put the order in using the CLICK AND COLLECT option?! We messaged you straight away (see below) as we always do in these circumstances: Hi, Thank you for your order. You have chosen the “click and collect” option. If you could contact the shop on 01257 795700 to make collection arrangements before you call in. Our opening hours are on our website. Not impressed at all cost me £7.00 for next day delivery, and got it 4 days later. Wouldn’t have had it by then if I hadn’t rung up to find out where it was.

Placed my order on Friday and paid for 48 hour delivery, the company didn't dispatch it untill Monday at 6.18pm and I received it on Wednesday 5 days later. I also didn't receive any emails with tracking info or to say it had been dispatched. the agent responded by telling me it was basically my fault because if I needed by Tuesday I should of paid for 24 hour del. I don't mind mistakes or issues but to try and tell a customer who's already paid extra for a service that I should pay more for the companies incompetence to take account for them making mistakes takes the biscuit. Wouldn't use them again and I buy alot of gas related products and have never received service this poor before or had a customer service rep attempt to blame me for somthing out of my controll. Very very disappointing customer service and after sales.

Mr Rowen-Lancashire, You placed your order on Friday lunch and paid for 48hr Royal Mail tracked delivery which is working days not weekends. We process and dispatch all orders within one WORKING DAY not WEEKENDS as there in no Royal Mail collections at our business premises over the weekends so we were on time with our dispatch on Monday. We dispatched your order on Monday 4.15pm when our Royal Mail daily (working day!) pick up is scheduled. Not 6.18pm as you stated in your review as this is when it was scanned in at the RM sorting office. I emailed you personally with your tracking details and a link to the tracking. To which you replied. You stated that you wanted the item for Tuesday and I politely said in my email that it would have been extremely unlikely that you would have received the item using a 48hr tracked service and maybe should have used the 24hr tracked service! Hi, The item was sent out on time as promised using a 48hr tracked service. As you were in Ireland this service - apparently takes up to 4-5 days. We do not know why the Irish post took so long to deliver your item as the tracking was not working correctly. We can only apologise on behalf of the Irish mail service for your late item. In future we will not be taking any orders from Ireland as there poor mail service reflects badly on us. Thanks, Steve

Bought a non Calor gas cylinder from Chorley bottle gas they would not accept it for a refill went to flogas they were very helpful

Mr Hicklin, It is a sad state of affairs that you feel you had to leave a negative review for our company. As I explained to you on the telephone we have been a Calor Gas agent for the past seven years. Prior to that we were a Flogas agent at our old place of business for ten years. You say you called at our shop "last year" and purchased a Alta Gas cylinder (which is now part of the Flogas group) from us. 1. We have not held any Flogas/Alta cylinders in stock for over seven years. We are not even allowed to contractually handle them. 2. The Alta gas brand was taken over and re-branded Flogas roughly around 8 to 9 years ago so Alta Gas cylinders are old obsolete cylinders. So to say you came here "last year" and bought a Alta gas cylinder is absolute rubbish. I thought I was being more than helpful to you on the phone, pointing you to the nearest local Flogas dealers who would be more than happy to exchange your cylinder. But you still felt it necessary to leave a negative review. very sad.
I find it very difficult to write a review, considering I still have not had the gas bottle delivered. I am hoping, I will get it delivered before Christmas. If this is not going to happen, I would like a full refund of the money with out any penalties,

Good Morning Mr Hilton, I am extremely disappointed with your one star rating and unfair review. We came to deliver your cylinder the same day you ordered it even though you are a little out of our usual delivery area. We called you to let you know we were on the way as we always do with internet orders and you did not answer your phone. Our driver took the initiative and went up to your address at great time expense for him and you were not home. You then answered your phone had said you had gone out shopping in Leyland, 20 minutes away and forgot that you had ordered the gas! Our driver wanted to leave the cylinder for you but there was nowhere suitable to do so. Our driver arranged with you that we would drop the gas when we were next passing (which is not very often in your area - once or twice a week!) You were on for a delivery today, Christmas eve, I was sending the driver over to your area especially so you would have your cylinder for Xmas but I think under thew circumstances I will refund your money and let you get your cylinder somewhere else. Very sorry, Steve
