“100% Reference for Trek-adventures.co.uk Introduction to Sailing - June 2023 One Week on board the Bavaria 32 named Leo 11, based at Lixouri Harbour, Kefalonia If you are unsure exactly how, or if, you want to develop your yen to go Sailing, then the Introduction to Sailing Week offered by Trek adventures in Kefalonia, Greece is a 100% recommend. This is the Walk don’t Run approach that takes you from a novice to the point where you can now take an educated view of where you want to go next. In developing your sailing journey you now can visualise options that are now appropriate to you, you can see various roadmaps that actually make sense going forward. More courses? More qualifications? Joining a flotilla? Be the crew for a qualified captain when chartering a boat, get some hours under your belt as Crew? or get qualified yourself? The Med or The Solent? A 32 footer or something bigger or smaller? You may not know everything but in the case of myself and my neighbour (both landlubbers) this week was superb, we have no complaints at all, trek-adventures.co.uk in Lixouri, Kefalonia was a gentle and simple introduction to sailing, it delivered on its promise. And of course this recommendation would not be complete without a huge mention that our Skipper/instructor, Barry, had the patience of a 'saint' and felt passionately about his job as tutor and was able to impart his obvious knowledge and experience clearly and without fuss making the experience so much more than just a holiday!!! I could go on, the Gulf of Argostoli is a fantastic benign location for learning to sail and Lixouri is a working town unspoilt by tourism but the best advice I can give is just go there.”

“What a great time we had on our learn to sail holiday. The yacht was lovely and very well maintained. The instructors were excellent, Barry, Mick and then of course our instructor Shirley. What a lovely lady we had so much fun and laughter with her. Shirley has a wealth of experience and knowledge, she really knows her stuff and is a brilliant teacher. From the time of our initial enquiry to the office in the UK prior to booking the staff were very approachable and helpful. We can't fault our complete experience with Trek Adventures and definitely intend to go back. We would certainly recommend them to anyone looking for the very best learn to sail holiday.”

“We took this holiday to learn how to sail with no precious experience. Great bunch of people to work with. We learnt so much . Everyone one we met was kind and helpful . Thank you Shirley for an amazing time on the water. We didn’t stop chatting and laughing the whole holiday.”

“Super week staying at Kostas Beach House Lixouri. Kostas was extremely friendly and helpful. Facilities at the Hotel were superb. Teenagers loved all the water sports and learnt to sail and windsurf. Instructors were organised and knowledgeable”

“Our whole family had the most brilliant time at Lixouri bay. From booking until check out; everything was seamless. Our holiday was equally relaxing and active with both ourselves and our girls having learnt new skills taught to us by attentive and enthusiastic instructors. We loved our week in Kefalonia and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend or book again!”

“We have had a fantastic week at the Lixouri Beach club. The beach club staff could not have been friendlier and they were very skilled teaching us a range of new water sports. Nothing was too much trouble! The family who run the hotel are incredibly welcoming and the food is delicious. It has been an absolute pleasure dealing with Trek Adventures and this is definitely one of the best holidays we've ever had.”

“We had an absolutely amazing week with Trek at the Lixouri Beach Club. We were seriously impressed with the staff and equipment - the staff were enthusiastic, knowledgeable and great teachers, and there was a range of kit to suit all abilities. The staff at Lazaratos Hotel really made the holiday as well - so friendly and welcoming, and the best food! We're already wondering when we can come back, so thank you!”

“Well, our trip to Kefalonia with Sea trek was just amazing. It was so easy from the airport to Villa Eila where we stayed. A lovely short ferry crossing to Luxouri then a 5 minute drive to the villa, stopping at an easy supermarket for supplies. The villa was outstanding, spotlessly clean, modern, breathtaking views and an amazing Pool for the early morning dip. The staff at the beach club were amazing and made you feel at home and comfortable immediately. Plenty or beach beds with shade if you prefer to watch the watersports rather than partake. So many Taverna's with amazing healthy food and great beaches locally for hanging out. Can't wait to go back! Such a great company and island!!”
