A few days ago we returned from our trip to Swedish Lapland, and I am writing to thank you for your work. The trip was great. Everything (reservations, trips, activities ...) worked perfectly. And the weather also behaved very well, with completely blue skies (or stellate), and without any wind. Of course the temperatures were low, but well equipped we did not experience anything cold. The guides on the dog sleds, the snowmobile, the nights of photography of the auroras, the staff of the hotels ... were lovely and you can convey our thanks. And the auroras visited us the two nights of observation, so the trip allowed us to fulfill absolutely all our objectives. Thank you very much, from your Spanish travelers. Muchas gracias Javier and Mariaje

Wow! Certainly a trip of a lifetime! Although a “package” holiday, the experience felt very personal throughout. I am really struggling to find the words to express how amazing our trip was.

Five star service all the way. I was worried about booking an organised break but Weekend a la carte helped make this special birthday one to remember. Everything they sourced from accommodation to activities was first class.

I always travel independently and this is the first "organised" holiday I have booked for more than 20 years. From booking to returning home everything was just so well organised I could have almost imagined I did it myself but without the effort. Abisko Mountain Lodge - faultless. Simple rooms, clean and warm, but that was clearly pointed in the online brochure, the meals restaurant and staff were simply unbeatable. The organised activities were so well arranged and everyone involved extremely helpful knowledgeable. I was extremely lucky to spend 4 nights and saw the Northern Lights every night. If like me you are cautious about booking with Weekend a la Carte I can thoroughly recommend them. I read some reviews before I booked and one just said "Just book it" and that's my final 3 words. Just book it!!

Our accommodations were nice, the activities were fun, transfers went smoothly (with a few small glitches), and the Aurora Borealis was spectacular!

First we did not see any Whales and secondly the northern lights were a little weak but at least gave us a hint. That's the bad news none of which is of your making. We had a fabulous few days and just loved the Country and it's people. The hotels were really good and the food at The Ion Hotel was exceptional. Breathtaking vistas of this truly different destination. As far as your arrangements are concerned everything went fairly smoothly apart from a few little hitches but so small not really worth mentioning. All in all we had a wonderful time. Dear David Thank you for your feedback and I'm delighted you had a good time and enjoyed it so much. Sadly the whales have been a little scarce this last couple of weeks. Unfortunately nature cannot be controlled much as I would like it it to be, as it would make my life easier, but I appreciate really disappointing for you. I'm very pleased you liked the hotel so much and thank you for your kind rating. Regards Abigail

The accommodations were lovely and not massive. The first two places we stayed at were very friendly and more intimate... the third place was friendly but busier but still good. Every meal was perfect wherever we went but especially at the Wilderness cabin. Every activity was excellent and the best evening was the photo evening where cameras were provided... so we were able to take the most fantastic shots of the lights.

A big thank you to you for 'rescuing' our trip. The arrangements you made for us were absolutely excellent. At one stage we were facing a bit of a disaster, with all the cancelled excursions due to the weather, and then the heavy snow in Reykjavik but you 'saved the day' by arranging alternative transport to get to our second hotel when the hire car company was 'snowed in'. AND we got to see the Northern Lights on our last night at Ranga. How lucky was that! We would also like to extend a big thank you to South Coast. All their guys (and one lady) were terrific. They were friendly, very knowledgeable about Iceland and made the trips so enjoyable. Our Iceland trip was well planned by Weekend a La Carte, arranging all the things we wanted to do and see. We hope to be in contact with you again for other trips.

Your hard work making the itinerary, worked superbly, making for a relaxed journey to the Mountain Lodge. The staff at the Lodge were amazingly friendly, the accommodation and particularly the meals were outstanding, as were the activities . The Abisko area mountains and lake ,were to us, as photographers, a dream come true. Not only did we capture the Aurora Borealis, but also , many unique images as the sky turned pink and golden, on the mountains and surrounding area. Our thanks to all the staff at the Abisko Mountain Lodge, who made us so welcome and to those who provided the activities. Sandra & Tony

Thank you so much for our wonderful trip to Abisko. All went to plan and we had a truly fabulous holiday. The Mountain Lodge staff and all the guides we met were very friendly and professional. The food was wonderful. The activities we did were great fun i.e. dog sledding and snow mobiling. The photographic evening was very enjoyable too, with Nicholas. We got to see the aurora on each of our 4 nights, and 2 of those were pretty spectacular! Wasn't keen on the Sky Station, as it was overrun with very rude and inconsiderate Chinese tourists! However, we look forward to visiting again! Carolyn and Paul Betts Feb. 2017

It was a fantastic package including a good mix of activities. Locals were so lovely & staying at the Mattarahkka lodge is a must! Miko, Anki, Mathis & others were great & very accomodating. Ilva & her family at the Husky kennel were so sweet & love what they do. A memorable trip with memorable people.

Food quality at the Abisko Mountain Lodge was fantastic. Staff were very approachable, helpful and knowledgeable about the area. The packaging of the activities and travel transfers was of good value. The landscape and the aurora experience was breathtaking.

Accommodation, hosts and food at Abisko Mountain lodge were superb! Spectacular view and display of the Northern Lights on New Year's Eve. Felt Sami experience (hosts were interesting and cordial but the activities were somewhat disjointed) and Photo Workshop (hosts were informative but the trip was too close to main road to feel in wilderness) were below par, hence 4 rather then 5 stars.

The whole lot was an amazing experience ! Landscapes are wonderful. Activities are great (although sometimes shorter than advertised). Really nice place to stay at ; comfortable bedrooms, free access to the sauna, cosy place near the stove with sofas and free coffe/tea/biscuits for relaxing with other guests. And the people - staff and guides (and even the locals!) are SO welcoming and friendly. I've been living in Southern Sweden for a year, 10 years ago, and it felt like Lapland is another country, even another world. I've met some great people during my stay, amongst staff/guides and other guests from different countries. Leaving the place was kinda heartbreaking ! I will definetly recommand the place ! (Already started!) :)

The best adventure we have ever been on bar none! Extremely well organised and nothing was left out. Everything from the flights, accommodation, tours and food was fantastic. The tour operators were exceptional and catered for our every need, nothing was too much trouble and made us feel very welcome and very much at home. I would highly recommend anybody considering a holiday in Iceland to book with Weekend a la carte Aurora Nights and www.southcoastadventures.is. Thank you so much for making this the trip of a lifetime and one we will most definitely remember forever. I look forward to booking our next adventure with you soon.

The whole bespoke itinerary for the trip was organised in advance by the friendly team and put together to make it very relaxing to follow whilst on holiday, this made it completely stress-free so we could enjoy it even more. South Coast Adventures, especially our guides Valdir and Segga, was very friendly and professional with delivering a great adventure tour. He and the other activity organisers never made us feel rushed to ensure we experienced as much as we could.
