“A fabulous range of very high quality meat, you can browse for hours! Also very responsive and flexible on delivery time. The packages arrive on time and are neatly packed and labelled, some frozen others partially so. Do try the veal sweetbreads, they are a joy, and the Managliza gammon is gorgeous.”

“The Mangalitza Dry Cured Bacon was excellent, The Tamworth x Welsh White Dry Cured Middle Cut Bacon was tough didn't matter how i cooked it it was tough. The Outdoor Pork Loin on the Bone was very nice,a bit lacking in flavour maybe due to the small piece i bought so next time i'll try a larger joint.”

Thank you for your feedback, we haven't received any other complaints about the Tamworth Bacon but we will certainly try some more here at AM as we do not like to have disappointed customers. I have refunded you for this and do hope to see you again soon.

“I started to buy our family meat from Alternative Meats in lockdown and I will never go back to supermarket meat. Their products are superior quality and consistent so I know and trust what I am ordering each month. Family favourite is the Goosnargh chicken, tastes like chicken used to taste! Totally recommend this butcher for their products and importantly for the excellent customer service from Diane that means i am treated as a valued customer and not an on line nobody.”

“So glad I found Alternative Meats - I have bought Topside a couple of times now and it is the best beef we have had in ages. The bacon, chicken and sausages are all excellent too. Delivery is overnight and the items which are delivered frozen are still frozen when they arrive. Highly recommend!”

“Pre New Year (sister and self) purchased Mangolista products and lately Glos Old Spot bacon - collected, as live fairly local (self). Great service, products and lovely people. What more can I say, will 'go to first' when needing something extra special”

“The veal is very good. It is better than Costco quality meat. This is true of both the steaks and the offal aka low and slow (for which we use Sous Vide). The packing is very good with insulation material and frozen ice bags surrounding the meat. The customer service is extremely good and so far, there is nothing I can complain about.”

“Most tender and tasty meat I have ever eaten. The Wagyu Sirloin was bought for our Brother’s 50th Birthday meal and, as his favourite cut, he absolutely loved it. The Mangalitsa bacon was absolutely stunning - raised the the homemade Carbonara to another level. Just about to buy some Wagyu fillet, which is our favourite cut and, of course, lots of Mangalitsa bacon.”

“Mangalitza sausages the best sausages I've ever tasted. My husband likes spicy, I don't, but these were perfect for both of us. I keep coming back for the wagyu beef as it is so good. It does release a lot of fat when browned but this is easily drained off. Makes the best cottage pie where the flavour of the meat shines through. The shin is my go-to for a casserole, low and slow. Oh, and the service is pretty good as well.”
