I have tried many times to find that missing something to keep my motivated to learn guitar. I've failed because there's no one there to guide and encourage and in the modern era a bewildering amount of aggressive information and promises. I signed up to YGA after getting half way thru the beginners course. Here's my impressions and experiences. At £10 a month it's an absolute bargain. Cannot fault anything. The discourse community is supportive and informative. The monthly free review is outstandingly helpful and reassuring and the incredible easy pathways and lessons is so easy and user friendly even an old duffer like me feels at ease. There is no big upsell which would have me outta here pronto. Who needs stress when you're here to enjoy and learn. Go at your pace. Brilliant. If you exhaust everything that's free we'll done...then there are so many interesting things you can buy and keep forever and the prices are once again incredible ...like £20 or£30 as a one off and you get all the course on video and audio and tab etc, etc...I just added a speed building course and its wicked and mine to keep and take with me. If you have any incling to learn or even very good guitarists -and there are some very good ones in the club - it looks like there is something from complete beginner to jimi hendrix. I'm not kidding. I've fell in love with guitar and guitars now. I feel incomplete until I've had about an hour to myself each day ...the goals are all well set and achievable so I've never had that horrid feeling that I am useless or too stupid to learn. I'm a huge sceptic and a bit paranoid but I've been a member for a few months now and it strikes me as easily the best £10 I've ever spent and can't imagine outgrowing what's on offer. Brilliant job and thanks to the creators and the maintenance of the club and community. Ian D Member

The YGA club is fantastic! I started as an intermediate player, and the amount of support and training material is tremendous. Also, the pathway concept lets you progress at your own pace. You can review the whole material as often as you want. If you want to make a giant leap in your journey of becoming a guitar player, I would highly recommend the YGA Club!

YGA is an amazing service which motivated me to resume my guitar studies seriously. The only reason why I cancelled the subscription is that I’m now taking 1-2-1 lessons. The YGA lessons and the platform are great. I like the community on Discord, particularly the quick leak section. Content covers every aspect of guitar playing and is regularly updated. I was to pay 10 quid to get that and to contribute to a project aiming to share music knowledge also with those who can’t pay. Thanks Alberto

I'd been messing around with my guitar for years but never got beyond the most basic level. I found Your Guitar Academy online and things started to come together; the guitar skills courses channelled my learning towards clear goals, with each module building on the previous ones. Then I joined YGA Club and things really started to accelerate. It provided what I needed to progress: (i) Being able to record how much time I spend on each module gives me the discipline to practice every day (ii) Monthly progress reviews provide both a target to work towards, and helpful feedback on how I'm doing. (iii) Being able to chat with other students means we can help and support each other

The YGA Club is fantastic! On joining you'll receive a pathway to guitar greatness, which depends on your current ability as a player from complete beginner and beyond. This is a fantastic roadmap and will serve you well on your guitar journey. However, if you want to add anything from the site to your pathway just message Dan and he's more than happy to add it on. So good! Building on this, there are weekly webinars which can go into great depth on many topics and they are always worth watching as each tutor brings something different to the table, and they alternate weekly which gives you a variety of topics that can be covered. In addition, the monthly progress reviews are worth their weight in gold. It gives you the benefit of having an online guitar lesson at about a third of the cost! All the tutors have an immense knowledge of the guitar and that comes across here, with pointers on how you can take your playing to the next level. The discord community is wonderful too, with all questions being promptly answered about gear, tone, theory, pretty much anything guitar related! I've just realised I've not even mentioned the quality content that's brought you here in the first place. Seriously, if you like any of the courses and how they are set up, the YGA Club is for you. I've gone from the beginner's pathway to playing Open Mic down at my local and have loved every second of it. If you're on the fence, just give it a go!
