I've changed from a failing Vera Plus controller and the support and advice given by Vesternet was excellent. I am very happy with Smartthings now that I have individually included around 40 devices! Luckily this was easier than with the Vera and generally worked first time. I liked the amount of configuration available on the Vera and have still to resolve how to change a parameter on a sensor to take an alarm output from my NVR to trigger a scene (lights on).

Bought this to replace an old Vera hub which had failed. Worked straight out of the box and connected to all my previous devices and some new ones that I have subsequently added, with no issues whatsoever. Usual fast service from Vesternet. Thank you.

This is the second hub which was replaced really quickly after the first one going faulty. Easy to use and setup ideal for anyone that wants something simple to setup and use.

Very easy to use and automations are pretty straightforward to set up. Integrates with z wave, wifi devices Andy alexa pretty seamlessly. There's a nice level of setup and forget but also accommodation for those who like to tinker a bit too!

I've been using the hub for a few weeks, it seems like a solid product but it's important to understand it's mostly good for supported devices and lacks a lot in customization. It is possible to code some kind of scripts for handling devices, but you can't make use of it to perform your own custom logic inside your network. if you want to do something as simple as send an internal network command - you just can't. which is VERY disappointing. I think an advanced user will end up needing to setup another local smart hub such as home assistant. then.. what do we have this for...?
