Permethrin is an extremely popular and clinically proven treatment that our patients rate highly, achieving a rating of 4.46 out of 5.
Clinical studies have found that when applied correctly, permethrin treats scabies effectively, but the application of the cream can sometimes be a leading cause as to why symptoms persist.
Normally, up to one tube (30g) will be sufficient for full body coverage but should not require or use more than 2 tubes (60g in total) at each application.
If you have followed the directions fully you may wish to see your GP who can prescribe a slightly stronger treatment to help clear the infection.
