And Mr Fox always visits around 10pm and he gets the carcass tonight. Had the mutton before and it was superb. Will try that and the diced shoulder of lamb soon,”
“First time we've tried the chicken. It was a lovely plump bird which I spatchcocked it to fit in a small oven with no temperature control (property of my 96-year-old father-in-law!). It was done in under an hour and came out with lovely crisp skin and beautifully moist flesh which carved easily. Flavour was excellent and it was perhaps the most tender-fleshed chicken we have ever had. Thoroughly recommended.”
