Fabulous product, and one I can finally purchase consistantly online. Perviously could only buy from farm shops in Worcester, great to get these things delivered. Good sized Hock, plenty of meat, great great Boston Beans addition.

Good taste but too much salt. Perhaps I need to soak for a few hours before cooking. Otherwise fine.

Fabulous combination of ham flavour with just enough smoke. Simmered until it pulled apart, used the ham for ham salad (chopped hard-boiled eggs, a little mayonnaise, seeded mustard, chopped gherkins, slivers of white onion, parsley, black pepper) served with fresh bread and a green salad. Lunch guests were most impressed!

I used this to make a French cassoulet , plenty of meat and very tasty flavour. It's been awhile since I've been able to buy a good ham hock.
