“Bloody good coat! Windproof, waterproof, with a good hood and high neck. I work outdoors in all weathers so need a decent coat - this ticks all the boxes and is one of the best coats I've ever bought. Sizes are generous and allow for plenty of layers underneath.”

“The jacket arrived at the same time as the snow did so it was put to the test straight away. It's relatively light weight and designed to be an external waterproof/windproof layer rather than a cold weather jacket in its own right. If it's really cold wear a fleece underneath but I suspect that in the UK it would work perfectly well on its own. As it happens it's -2* today which is cold for the UK so I did go out with a fleece underneath and couldn't feel any cold (other than where the jacket wasn't!) even with a biting easterly wind. Got home, took the fleece off and went out again, same temp, same wind, same result, still dry, still toasty. This jacket could be used for skiing/snowboarding without any issues whatsoever as well as walking the dog in a UK winter. I love military surplus for that reason, some trendy ski brand would be 5, 6 or 7 times the price and would give no additional benefit, wouldn't be any better made and wouldn't look any better than this. All in all, a great buy, I doubt if i'll have to buy another Goretex jacket again, this one will last a lifetime.”
