“Bought this in a despairing attempt to not get soaked twice a day walking my Lab. For the price it is excellent if you don't mind rocking out on the moors in a camo stylee. It was bought after I finally got sick of re-waxing my £350 B*****r which leaks like a sieve. Given I could buy six of these for the price of the Barbour it's got to be a good deal. It is not totally waterproof, I would say heavy showerproof. A really bad downpour will still give you damp shoulders but it isn't bad. My main issue is the zip. It is totally plastic. You have to get it "just right" before it catches and zips up. Hence 4 stars.”

“Can't complain about the quality of the jacket. It was unused, looks very strong and was only £48. I'm 6' 3'' and ordered an XXL. There is plenty of room for several layers underneath. My only gripe is that the photograph makes the jacket look quite long, but is actually much shorter than expected. I think the "model" must be quite short, but is wearing an XXXL jacket.”
