A brilliant piece of kit. Works well. Only problem I had was I was trying to fit with the DeWalt ring to a DeWalt tool but didn't fit but luckily there was a few different rings and one of them worked. Great adaptation to reduce dust and flying debris. Price is a little high but you get what you pay for and it's all quality. I imagine I will wear through the plastic flex tube before this job is out because it is constantly rubbing on the wall but already though of that and wrapped duct tape around the flex tube to reduce wearing to the tube. Over all 100% recommended

Easy to use , cleaner option than grinding with flexi tube for easy connection to dust extractor

Bought this to rake out old mortar from my patio of about 100 slabs (600x600). It fitted easily to my bosch angle grinder using the dewalt spacer ring . I attached a short length of old bathroom waste pipe to the outlet hose of the raking tool and my vacuum cleaner, secured with jubilee clips whch had butterfly tighteners for easy disconnection which worked a treat. As there was so many joints to clear I decided to use my sds drill and masonary bit to pre drill around the slabs rather than risk burning out the raking bit supplied halfway through. This made it a lot easier to clear the joints with less stress on the bit. All in all a good tool.

I bought a Termite mortar raking starter kit as I needed to remove mortar to fit lead flashing to a roof I'd built at home. The order was received quickly. It's very easy to set-up. Fitted to my 4.5" grinder without any issues. The unit is extremely easy to use and gave me (a DIY'er) a professional finish to the job. I used it for 7 meters of mortar and it took me roughly and hour and a half start to finish and that includes me getting set-up and lugging the Henry hoover up onto the roof for dust extraction (which worked perfectly). Very handy tool to have in my garage.

My last experience of chopping joints out for the purpose of repointing was almost 40 years ago and involved a lump hammer and chisel and the thought of disk grinding with all the dust travel generated didn't inspire me so to find this bit of kit after a bit of googling was a real win. I had some 23 year old mortar joints to fetch out which must have suffered frost damage at the point of laying as the joints had gradually eroded over the years and had become at least 10mm recessed. Chose to use mains grinder to save swapping batteries endlessly, had to make some modifications to the grinder as it was a Black & Decker around 35 years old, once done kit connected fine with Henry connected to the hose outlet. Cutting out the joints was a breeze for the most part with the odd hard part or wall tie end encountered, only used the 8mm bit so far as some of my joints are quite thin, and some perps were very tight so that tested the kit as most of the time it was cutting brick, extraction was excellent too as long as you gave Henry's bag a shake now and again, even without extraction the cutter does not create the dust travel experienced with disc grinding. I did try the kit on my Dewalt cordless grinder with the yellow shim but again modification would have been needed as there is a torx screw head stopping the base plate connecting. Overall very impressed with my soft joints, be prepared to resort to disc if you have tight perps or very hard mortar joints.

Great bit of kit, racking out a 60sqm patio with Henry hoover attached to Termite fitted to a Makita cordless grinder. Hard work at times but does a fantastic job with little to no mess. Very please and highly recommend.
