I was looking to use the starter kit with an 18 volt Bosch 41/2 grinder, however after about two minutes of use the starter body would detach its self from the grinder, when examining the plastic ring it appeared chewed up slightly, I have since fitted the starter body to a Bosch 110V 4/12” grinder not using any of the plastic rings provided instead fitting it straight onto the serrated part of the grinder and it now appears to work satisfactory.

I used this to rake out mortar joints on the back of my house. I only used this for the perps as our mortar is very hard, but it did the job well, apart from the fact that it did break a few brick corners off, but you are always going to suffer some minor brick damage when grinding out. Care needs to be taken to ensure the tool stays in the brick joint. It is easy for it to wonder, especially if you hit an obstruction such as expoxy that has been used to fill holes drilled for cavity wall insulation. Personally, I prefer to use a mortar raking disk on the main horizontal joints, but the rake did the job. I used this on an Erbauer angle grinder, which I highly recommend. I would avoid any angle grinder that can be locked on, does not have speed control or a finger trigger for control. They can be too agressive. I didn't use the dust extraction as I preferred to wear a mask amd clean up afterwards. I used the 10mm cutter with the extra blades.
