Great product, does exactly as described. Got it for my boyfriend as he's always hot. Now we can actually be together in one room without him complaining he is too hot or me that I'm too cold. He just has his personal bubble where he's comfortable! :)

Fan is too loud for the office it was intended for. Unable to use level 2 or 3 because it’s too loud. When using the air conditioning option, the fan blows condensation. The condensation builds up on the fan vent and drips.

Excellent for cooling small spaces! Currently use this as a portable a/c to keep the back of my SUV cooler for my pup while we are traveling. Living in Arizona even short rides to the vet and back can be tough since vehicle a/c outlets are all directed towards traditional passenger seating.

Pluses: it humidifies air in small spaces very well (the effect is not as good in large areas like living rooms though). I mostly use it in my bedroom during nighttime (instead of my supernoisy AC) and noticed that I stopped waking up every morning with a stuffy nose! It's a total game changer for people with nasal congestion problems! Highly recommend! Also, love the cute design and size: it's relatively small (perfect size for an office/computer desk). Minuses: price (a bit expensive) and water needs to be filled quite often (once every 3-4 hours).

This is a review for the Evapolar evaCHILL New Personal Evaporative Air Cooler and Humidifier/Portable Air Conditioner and Fan. I have a few evaporative air coolers similar to this one, only bigger. it’s important to know what they can and cannot do. On the plus side, this one is super easy to set up. There’s a short instruction booklet and the part that is in English is one full page and that’s all you’ll need; it’s pretty intuitive except for being told that the tank holds 800ml or 3.4 cups. The unit itself feels sturdy enough even though it’s plastic - my other air coolers are the same. It is also lightweight until you put the water in it. It is very quiet which is a huge plus; perfect next to your bed at night. The air flow obviously, for something this size, isn’t going to be enough to reach any large space; but it is good enough for a desktop or an end-table next to you. The thing to understand about these evaporative coolers, is that most of them, including this one, don’t really put out “cold” air as much as cool air - if they are aimed right at you it’s nice. However, they are also humidifiers so factor that into whether or not you want this. Even though humidity is generally good for you, a lot of people don’t like it when it’s hot. For what it does, it’s nice. I do wish that you could put ice in the tank along with the water like I can do with some of my other coolers; that really helps keep the air flow colder. Still, this is nice, just beware it’s not going to really keep you cool and dry in really hot weather, but it helps and is better than a plain old fan.

i ordered this for a co-worker who has a medical problem with dry eyes that was affecting her ability to work at the computer. She LOVES this! It not only cools off her cubicle, but it moistens the air so it is helping her dry eye problem. It has a small footprint, taking up very little space on her desk, and is powered via usb to her laptop. She also likes the easy on/off switch. A tank of water lasts about 4-5 hours depending on the level at which it is set. This has been invaluable for her, and I'm glad I was able to help her out.

This machine is small but mighty. It cools well if you keep water in the reservoir. There are a few cons though: -You can't control the output temperature. It cools based on how hot the ambient temp is, which I'm fine with b/c I don't have AC in my little SF studio. -The LED has already given out. I can manage b/c all I care about is that it cools and if I can turn off the ambient lighting if I want to use this while I'm sleeping. It's kinda crappy though that I've only used the product for 30 minutes, saw the LED display flicker, and it is already non-functional.
