Works very well for the space that it is advertised to cool. Sits next to me on my bed and helps keep me cool, works great in conjunction with a small fan! Would recommend!

I bought this to help with my sweating overnight. Really does the job well. Super light and very basic to use/setup. Only gripe is the water tank isn't large enough to last a whole 8hr night but it still functions as a fan without water.

Great device - have been using it for the last week at work and it does a great job. I work in an open space office where the temperature is not always perfectly regulated - especially at my desk which is located close to the window it can get hot and uncomfortable. With the cooler, I can control my own microclimate without disturbing others. It makes the air fresh and does a great job as a personal air cooler. For weekend I took it home and put it next to my bed for the night - no more issues with dry nose in the morning. It is very quiet so not messes with my sleep at all. Looks stylish and has a several different colours of the light. Great value for money. Recommend.

Does well by the bed (mainly for one person), cools down in no time and the sound and light are both soothing.

It's important to keep in mind it works best in dry climates, and I fortunately live in one. It cools nicely, although it's important to also keep in mind that you can't change it to the temp. you want, you just have it cool you at the temp. it works at in your climate. My biggest issue with it is the could-be-greatly-improved water tank, which, while holding enough water to last a couple hours, seems to never hold enough. I feel like more could have been done to design a nice looking, yet larger water tank to make it feel less needy of a product, while maintaining it's aesthetics. Overall, it's a nice little cube, and I'm well enough pleased with it.

I work in a studio with several computers right next to my chair. They give off quite a bit of heat! I've tried a couple of personal fans that work fairly well, but this Evapolar evaCHILL Personal Evaporative Air Cooler and Humidifier Portable Air Conditioner Fan works much better than the fans. I had never heard of a "swamp cooler" before, but that is what the evaCHILL is based on - it is a concept that Benjamin Franklin came up with and the theory has been proven to work. By putting water in a reservoir that is soaked up into a paper filter and the air is blown through the filter and as it evaporates, it cools the air and you end up with a cooling effect in addition to the air blowing over you and cooling you off. It is pretty typical to be able to cool down to 72 degrees with this method. I haven't put a temp gauge on the output yet, but holding my hand up next to the regular fan and this evaporative fan, you can feel the much colder air coming from the evaCHILL. It truly works! So, the pros and cons... The main pro is that it works. I am MUCH cooler with the evaCHILL sitting next to me. The cons are the price, that you have to fill it regularly, which is not always easy or convenient. Filling it with water isn't terribly difficult, but it is inconvenient to have to refill the water regularly. It hold 800 ml of water, which is a fair amount. Over 24 ounces. Also, it came with a TON of dust on the filter, probably paper dust from the filter itself. Once it soaks up the water, that is pretty much no longer a problem. And it gets a little noisy at higher fan speeds. Someone said that it didn't blow very hard, and I had to wonder if they were using it right? If you press the button several times, it will actually get pretty high speed and blow the air pretty fast. This isn't perfect, but it works and really cools your personal space down - especially if you have a computer near you that is heating your space. I would recommend it pretty solidly to someone who needs to cool their space down aggressively - other than the price. There are some others out there that are cheaper with good ratings, so you might look at them. But if you want a personal space air cooler that definitely works - this is a winner! I have several co-workers ordering the same thing because it works so well for me and they want that same cooling at their desk as well. I hope you find this to be a helpful review. If there is anything more you would like to know, please ask. I try to check my reviews for comments and respond to them right away. If you ask something and I don't get back quickly, please check my profile page and email me and I will try to respond as soon as I see it. I think it is important for fellow shoppers on Amazon to look out for one another by letting each other know if a product is good, or if it is a stinker. I take reviewing very seriously and try to be helpful. Thank you!

Unit provides air that is a few degrees cooler and a few percentage points more humid than the surrounding air. In a 10x10 room, after a few hours, the temperature had dropped from 78 to 76 degrees (humidity was around 55% to start and ended at the same point for my test). I think rather than using this as a room cooler, it works best at low speed on a desktop in a position where you might otherwise use a small fan. That way, you get some cooling air blowing toward you without the room changing dramatically as it would with an AC unit. Because of the method utilized here, you'll get better results in more arid conditions - Phoenix or Palm Springs rather than Miami or Savannah - but you'll go through more water in those circumstances, and the reservoir doesn't quite hold enough to get through an entire night in that case. The unit works precisely as designed - so long as you realize its limitations, you won't be disappointed.
