This personal air conditioner exceeds every and any expectation I may have had. It is truly amazing, even at twice the price that I paid.

I got my device a while ago and so far I have to say I am happy with Evapolar. I've seen some reviews that it is not cooling down a room or something, but if you read the description it's pretty obvious that this is a personal gadget that works withing a limited radius and it works best in dry climates like Colorado / California / Arizona / Nevada etc... Florida or Indiana - probably not so well. Make sure you read this before you buy it, and use Evapolar according to instructions, and I it will meet your expectations! The only thing that could be better would be a quieter fan, so that Evapolar is close to being silent. However, my overall experience is positive and I would definitely recommend this device, especially once they release v2.

just to clarify - this is a mini-evap cooler, aka swamp cooler. Works great in dry climates, not so great in more humid ones, and probably ineffective in very humid parts of the country. I have not tried to measure temp difference w/thermometer since the cooling effect is same as "wind chill" - cooling affect against human skin and a thermometer simply doesn't measure this. With fan on high, perceived cooling is very noticable. Regarding other comments re: poor fan output...fan has 4 speeds, maybe user(s) didn't get up to the high speed level...? I have mine on a table 5-6 ft away from my Fam room couch and moist cooling breeze is VERY noticeable and effective. I have been able to increase house A/C 77-79degrees during plopped down watching TV hours, or using laptop/ipad for extended periods. I used to have to set it at 74-75. Have saved quite a bit on electric bill. Portability isn't a big deal for my use, so wish it had a larger H2O tank. Need to refill every 3hrs or so, but this would be dictated by fan speed and environment humidity. I always run my fan on high and humidity is typically in low teens. Only thing keeping me from buying several units (bedroom, office, kitchen) is price. $80-99 is a little steep.

I'm married to someone who always likes the house warmer than I. Sleeping at night is particularly hard since I'll start sweating, especially on the pillow. I put this little cooler on my bedside. It cooled me off without disturbing my partner. I can direct the cold air right on my face. Since it's USB powered, I can use it either with a battery pack or a standard charger. We've got a power array by the bedside, so that was no problem. If you're one of those people that need to be colder than the people around you, this product is perfect. I took it to my office, which is always hot and was finally able to get stuff done. This evaporator is so much better than a desk fan, since it doesn't just move the air, but cools it.

My dear sweet husband found this and did the research before showing it to me. I’m in the thick of menopause and the hot flashes are horrible. I just ordered a second one of these for next to me in the living room. The other is upstairs next to the bed. One tankful lasts me all night in low and it keeps me cool. So helpful and it keeps me from turning the a/c on 68 degrees 24/7 so I believe it will save money. So happy with this little gem.
