I like the evaCHILL fan I bought but I will say I was hoping the air would be cooler coming out of it. I have to have it right up next to me for it to cool me off. It won't cool off a small space like I was hoping it might. Not horrible.

I got the unit in less than a week. It looks very nice and doesn't take up too much space on my desk. Our central AC doesn't always work that great in the office and it's nice to have your own powerful cooler especially during the hot summer days. Really cool product.

I like the device a lot! Turns my workspace from hell to heaven. It really works for the purposes it made - portable air cooler for a small space. This unit is not an air conditioner and does not have a compressor or condenser inside. Evaporative coolers are designed for spot cooling and will not lower a room's ambient temperature. This unit is best used in dry climates or open spaces. For the best performance, you need to keep a window or door open to limit the rise of humidity and for better ventilation. Also as an advice add ice to the tank and set the unit near you.

I work in a small office with no air circulation (it is in the middle of another room, so now outside windows). I have used fans historically to keep cool, but they blow my papers all around and make work difficult - plus are very loud. This little contraption is way more effective than a fan for keeping me cool, and is much more quiet and does not blow my stuff around. I still need to keep a fan around for when I have others in my office or for actually moving the air around, but this little guy makes working in my office during the summer months WAY more tolerable. Love it!

I was curious if this really did make a difference over a fan. I used a meat thermometer to get a reading of the *room temp, *the fan blowing & *the evapolar blowing. I was fairly surprised to see a 10 degree drop with the evapolar since using my little fan on low felt like it was doing a better job of cooling. I think because it has to go thru an air filter it has less oomph and feels less powerful. The temp reading does show that it is doing its job and I think it's fine up close & personal. For the price, a fan is probably still a better choice for cheap cooling, but the evapolar does add some nice humidity to the room.

This fan is unique. It has a very "minimal" fee to it and looks great in any room. For power, it plugs into a USB port. I find the best place for it is in a small room or area. PROS The unit is easy to set up. There is a water tank in the back that fills up easily and quickly. The water tank takes 3 cups of water is a great feature that cools my room fast. At first, I was worried about putting water into it, but it doesn't leak, and the water cools the room nicely! It is quiet, but on the highest fan speed, it has a big sound. It takes up a bit of real estate on your desk, but it is so lovely and great looking, and "doesn't look like a fan" so in the right place it is beautiful. CONS PRICEY. At the time of my review, I felt this was a bit pricey for a fan. I think what you are paying for is how it looks. It is unique and charming, and that is where the value lies. As a fan, it works great.

This thing is awesome for your desk environment! It cools, refreshes and gives a glow for your own little ambiance! But don't count on it for doing anything for the room. Just sit at the desk, work and enjoy..
