“My grandaughter now sleeps with her daddy's Kit doll that I made in 1982! I would like to make 2 more for my grandaughters. Is there any chance they can be supplied with different dresses without having to buy extras?”
“I have almost finished Kitty Blue. I can't sew the poppers on yet because I stuck a needle in my finger and it went a bit septic.I absolutely love these kits. They give such a sense of achievement. They make fabulous presents. They come with their own selection of clothes and children love dressing and undressing dolls.
I'm going to make boy doll Kit next. Then I shall make myself some dungarees. Thank you Clothkits for keeping the original and unique designs.”
“If only I had appreciated the work my Mum had put into making this doll back in the 70's for me and my sister, I may still be looking at it now. I'm not a sewer by any means, but have thoroughly enjoyed every minute i have spent lovingly recreating it. Ok! 6 hours making the pants wasn't great after finding out i was making them upside down, but we learn quickly, read twice, sew once!! I will definitely be back to purchase another rag doll kit, but will need a break first. Thank you Clothkits for keeping the pattern going.”
“I have made a number of the Clothkits dolls,to the delight of the recipients. I do find sewing the arms on difficult but my zipper foot helps with that. Only once have I made an embarrassing mistake and that was with the last one. I finished the doll, made the dungarees and put them on Clothkitty. I then realised the left leg was where the right leg should have been. The instructions warn you about putting the legs on facing the wrong way but not...Clothkitty is now with her legs ready for playtime after a small operation. I shall have to start on the next kit now.”
