“Despite the claims of low weight this feels a bit cumbersome, the machine is intrisically unbalanced with the weight mainly distributed at the handle end. This means the weight is entirely held up by your hand, I can't imagine lifting the machine by one hand and using the attachments to clean areas above the floor. The adverts suggest that this can be achieved with little effort. One of the consequences of the weight distribution is that the halo will not stand upright without support, I was constantly looking for a place where it could be propped while furniture was moved about. The design of the docking bracket is quite unpleasant, I know this is subjective, in our oldish Dyson the docking staion is also the charging point, of course the Dyson is probably twice price without twice the ability in performance. The halo does perform really well as a floor cleaner and the extra size of the waste bag is great. It feels very robust with reassuring and easy snapping together of the various tools and well balanced/ loaded switch gear. It is a brilliant example of close tolerance precision manufacturing.”
