“Great secondary vacuum cleaner. Advantages: One of the reasons I chose the Halo is the compostable dust pouches (from sustainable sources) – an important feature. It’s much simpler than emptying a canister, and no dust cloud or mess! Also, using dust pouches makes it much easier and quicker to maintain the Halo. Another is the noise volume – it’s quieter than my corded bagged upright. Also, long-term availability of parts, especially batteries, was very important when I considered what to buy. I strongly applaud their Capsule ReFresh optional service program for out-of-warranty Halos. I really like that it doesn’t require constantly holding down a button or trigger (as on my current/previous cordless, which is uncomfortable). The Halo Capsule is powerful, and cleans very well in general. Customer service was very good. The Halo is a great secondary machine. The bundle deal was good value. Disadvantages: This model won’t totally replace my current appliances, as it’s not as versatile. The reasons are partly due to my own physical limitations, and partly because the few attachments aren’t quite as useful/practical (for me). For some things, it’s so much easier and lighter for me to use the extension hose/tube on my old upright or bagless cordless (without their floor heads), each with their excellent range of attachments, most of which also perform more efficiently (for me, at least). E.G. curtain rails, vertical parts on stairs, skirting boards, bookshelves, smoke alarms, behind my double bed, and other awkward less accessible areas and nooks and crannies. I have also purchased the stretch hose just now, which wasn’t available when I bought the Halo a month ago. This will, I’m sure, be helpful to me with cleaning some areas, but not all. It attaches to the machine itself, both of which will need to be held up to reach higher areas – impossible for me. It’s also a shame that it can’t be propped up easily and safely during use – I have to lay it down on the floor each time I move something in order to clean. I knew this prior to purchase, though. It doesn’t always vacuum larger particles easily, The main brush head doesn’t vacuum completely to the edge a lot of the time. It’s necessary to remove hair from the brush head very frequently, which is rather time-consuming. The battery doesn’t last long enough on medium power without requiring charging when performing a really thorough house-clean. I’d be first in line to purchase additional attachments such as: (a) A longer stretch-hose, to which these could be attached: (b) A narrow soft dusting brush with a smaller hole/space in between the oval of bristles – maybe some sort of adaptor would be necessary so it would fit? (c) A longer, narrow, extendable and more flexible crevice tool with a narrow end. (d) A curved adaptor so that some attachments could reach really high/awkward areas. (e) A smaller floor head - not necessarily motorised. (f) A spare battery which consumers can fit when the power runs out during cleaning. (g) A hair-removal implement would be a nice, useful inclusion, though not essential. If the designers at Capsule Clean can come up with additional attachments with similar qualities to my older ones as mentioned above (and I can’t see any practical or other reason why most of these wouldn’t be possible), then the Halo Capsule might be the only cordless vacuum appliance I’d need.”

“Excellent vacuum cleaner which is at least equal to our mains power model in cleaning power and very convenient for stairs and difficult corners. The additional accessories extend the range of tasks it performs and the double quantity of dust bags should last at least a year. Overall a very competent piece of equipment at a bargain price.”

“I found the capsule easy to use and not heavy when in use. I was disappointed that the brush collected a lot of carpet fibres and needs to be cleaned each time. I find the suction tube difficult to remove because the orange release button does not release easily”
