“The product is great, but doesn't foam as much as the old one which i liked a little bit better. The biggest downside is the new packaging. The screw cap grates shards of metal off when you screw and unscrew it, which then gets into the product when you squeeze it out. I have stopped buying because of this. There's no way I want to be rubbing metal shards into my face every day. Such a shame as it is the best face wash I have used. :(”

Since your last purchase in October 2024, we’ve updated the packaging to a plastic flap cap to prevent this problem. We continually review our packaging to ensure it remains both functional and sustainable. HydraCleanse gives a light lather when mixed with water, as it’s formulated to cleanse gently without stripping the skin’s balance. “Have been using this cleanser for years so obviously really like it. The cleanser is gentle and refreshing, but I think the formula has changed - it's less foamy than before. I've had the new packaging in my stock for a while but only just started using this tube and the new aluminium tube is horrible. I appreciate that the tubes are cheaper and generally more sustainable to produce than glass, and for thicker products a tube is fine but the cleanser is quite runny and it's a nightmare to use! Firstly, piercing the seal was a faff as the packaging doesn't come with anything. The metal tube is too rigid for such a runny gel, which means loads of it comes out, and the screw on cap is impossible to get back on - you have to stand the tube up until you can get it back on otherwise the gel just leaks out. I've seen on the product pictures that the cap has been replaced, and this may make it easier to use - we'll have to see!”

You’re right — the formula was slightly adjusted during our 2024 rebrand to make it even milder and better suited to sensitive skin. This update reduced the foaming level a little, as we refined the surfactant blend to be more skin-barrier friendly. We completely understand the frustrations with the earlier aluminium tube design, especially for a lightweight gel like this one. The cap has since been improved to make it quicker to open, reseal, and control product flow more easily. Your feedback is invaluable to us, and we truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. “I really like the product, so does my skin. But I have to agree with other users- I really don’t like the packing. I also find it difficult not to dispense far more than I need, the product collects in the lid and leaks.”

“Please bring back the previous glass bottle packaging. This aluminum packaging for the face wash and other products is an absolute disaster, and I’m afraid I’ll have to keep looking for alternatives. I won’t be purchasing this product again unless you return to the decent packaging that made my skincare routine easy.”

“The product itself is great, however it is consistently out of stock, to even subscription customers, which makes skin care really inconsistent and unpredictable. I have mentioned this to customer service so many times and it’s the same excuse ‘a delay in stock being delivered’. This is so frustrating because the product works, you can just never rely on consistently receiving it.”

“Great cleanser skin doesn’t feel dry after washing. Only downside is the new packaging, much prefer the pump dispenser bottle! Will still buy this product though as it’s my favourite cleanser! It’s”
