“The moisturizer is really good but the new packaging is awful. My life barely goes on and some some black stuff keeps coming off into the lid and the opening of the moisturizer so it goes in my hand. I've had to put it in a different container because it was a nightmare to open and close.”

“I've always loved FaceTheory products and I've been using them for many years. Specifically on the new packaging of the primer and moisturiser, I appreciate the new packaging might be more green and good for the environment but the new cap design does not work as well as the old one. Perhaps it could still be improved while keeping it green.”

“As someone with really dehydrated but acne prone skin, finding a moisturiser that tackles acne but doesn't my skin out is a challenge. I've been using this moisturiser after the Hydroplast serum and have found that my skin feels tight and tingly after use. It has massively reduced the pores on my nose but hasn't done much for the acne on my chin. My skin feels overall pretty soft but I'm still getting some dryness. Overall I would say it's a great moisturiser for someone with normal to oily skin, but not for those with drier skin. I'm also not a fan of the packaging and have had to pick out bits of aluminium from the gel.”

“Moisturiser is good the packaging is terrible as it’s really difficult to put the lid back on leading to product wastage and it’s hard to control how much comes out.”

“My skin got even more oily with this moisturizer so i started using it at night only but in the morning my face was oily... it s so frustrating”

There are several reasons why your skin might appear oilier after using an oil-free moisturiser. Your skin may be overcompensating by producing more oil if it perceives a lack of moisture. Even with an oil-free moisturizer, this can occur if the product doesn't provide adequate hydration. Applying excessive amounts of moisturiser, even if it's oil-free, can lead to a greasy appearance. Your skin can only absorb a limited amount of product, and the excess will sit on the surface, creating a shiny look. Even humidity and temperature can affect how your skin reacts to moisturiser. In humid conditions, your skin may appear oilier after applying moisturiser. Apply only a small amount of product, typically a pea-sized portion for your entire face and maybe consider using a hydrating toner or essence before moisturizing to provide hydration without excess oiliness.
