“I love this moisturizer and have been using it for years, but I hate the new packaging! A lot of the product ends up not being used and wasted, because it cannot be pumped out with the dispenser. Absolutely frustrating. I have always much preferred the glass jars, and would also accept the tube again, but not this nightmare.”

“I order this product without fail every month and love it. Absolutely nothing wrong with the moisturiser, would recommend it to anyone. But, what on earth is this new packaging! Having ordered the same moisturiser for years, I have seen the packaging be changed countless times, always with different issues. Please just go back to the glass jars, I know they’re probably more expensive to manufacture, but we’d rather pay an extra quid for the ease of use and quality! I’ll even take the tubes which we had for the past year or two. But just stop with the pump bottles they’re so wasteful and frustrating to use.”

“I always reorder this product, but the new packaging is awful. Once you get towards the bottom of the bottle it is unable to be pumped out. So much of the product goes wasted and unused, I used to reorder every 4/5 weeks but I’ve had to order 3 times in the last 5 weeks. Surely the packaging needs to change.”

“It's really a shame the changes they made to this formula. My skin is sensitive to niacinamide in the sense that it makes my skin red and gives me a bunch of little bumps. The original formula of this moisturizer had it, but it was lower on the ingredient list and it had much more of the calming/moisturizing ingredients (like the aloe and chamomile and green tea and sodium hyaluronate), so it was actually the perfect balance of everything for my skin and my skin had never liked a product as much as the original formula. But now there's more niacinamide and significantly less of those calming ingredients I mentioned, and it just completely ruins my skin now. It really is unfortunate - brands will often have an absolutely fantastic product and ruin it by jumping on the niacinamide-overload train.”

We’d like to reassure you that the formula for Supergel has not been updated, including the percentage of niacinamide, which remains exactly the same as before. Sometimes, ingredient lists can look a little different due to regulatory or formatting updates, but the actual composition and balance of the formula haven’t changed. The skin reactions you’ve described, redness and small bumps, can occasionally occur when niacinamide interacts with the skin barrier if it’s feeling more sensitive than usual, or if it’s used alongside other active ingredients (like acids, retinoids, or vitamin C). This doesn’t necessarily mean the formula changed, but that your skin’s tolerance might have shifted slightly over time. We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback.
