“Room was dated, wallpaper hanging off, two single beds pushed together making for not such a comfortable sleep for a couple to which I paid extra not to have! Food wasn’t too bad but the service wasn’t very good either, we waited quite a while before our order was taken and then had to go to the till to ask to pay as we where told someone would bring our bill, we sat waiting for over 15 mins after that! The pool and spa was ok but in serious need of re modernisation same for to be said for the gym! For such a large hotel chain I was displeased with your sauna and steam facilities, they are particularly small! Also the jacuzzi was odd, no space for your feet to go therefore sitting with your knees at your chest! I wasn’t particularly pleased with the 8am fire alarm, I was told that this was caused by someone in a shower, surely there are ways of dealing with that also maybe you could put in a better system to help prevent the alarm sounding before your team knows if it’s a false alarm! It’s a shame because you are in such a beautiful area as well!”

“Had a lovely day and night. Very friendly welcoming staff from reception bar staff waitresses. Hotel is warm clean and bright. Our room was large with an exceptional comfy bed”

“The staff were very friendly and very helpful. Especially Andy. The meal was amazing. The soup very nice and the mussels were amazing. The rooms were very nice and the Spa was very good too. We had a wonderful time.”

“Had an excellent stay; food, staff, restaurant, leisure, location all great. Rooms clean, however, hotel a little tired. Pity they don't serve light lunches, as breakfast and dinner was great.”

“Room was dated. Windows had no handles. Room was 2 single beds pushed together and 2 single mattresses pushed together.Not a double bed as advertised. Menu was poor for dinner. Disappointed but has history of nothing else. Good spot for traveller but no more. Might be old but very tired.”
