“We had a fantastic time! Great value for money. We stayed in the tree house. The rooms were beautifully presented and clean. The main house definitely has some unusual artworks and items. A must see if you like quirky or unique things. The food in the restaurant was fantastic and the service was great. Did not feel rushed and the food was delicious. The grounds that the house is set in were also fantastic. There is a conservation area which we thought was particularly lovely and some of the views were very commanding. You can go on walks but sadly we were not staying long enough but we plan to go back and do this another time. The hotel is not that obvious from the main road as it’s set back at the end of a stone driveway. If you go, you will find it more or less on the corner.”

“The hotel grounds were very overgrown and the hotel felt very understaffed. We arrived later than anticipated due to motorway closures but cou!dn't have our free cocktail as that was ONLY available from 4 to 5 pm. We had a major problem with our room smelling awful due to the previous occupant using ' 'medicinal' canabis!!!! A problem that the housekeeping staff had reported and the hotel knew about. Although we complained and asked for another room we were told that the hotel was fully booked so we had no choice but to sleep in it. Even with the French door open the smell was very strong and as I have Chronic migraines it triggered a migraine resulting in a sleepless night. We told the reception staff we couldn't sleep there for the 2nd night and they reassured us we would be in another room. We arrived back at the hotel after a day in Bath too fine no one knew what room we were in or where our luggage was. We were kept waiting on an airless landing with no where to sit for about 40 mins until I insisted we got back to the main house until it was sorted out. The senior member of staff trying to deal with it was in a total panic and made it very stressful for us and was very rude and dismissive we tried to say we were meeting a couple for dinner and would be explain to them as would be latent he wouldn't listen and kept shouting don't interrupt me I'm trying to sort it out!!!!!. We finally were taken to a room where our luggage was waiting for us. This was an anniversary treat and although we said it had spoiled our celebration there was no real apology and no offer of any compensation not even our missed cocktails which were included in our package! One other problem was there was very little menu choice for me as I'm Gluten Intolerant I asked advice from the same member of staff as to what I could order and he said the fish was fine but then brought it with better on! I explained the problem but as my husband had offered to change with me they just stopped our plates and didn't offer me an alternative. There was so little choice I had to have the same breakfast and dinner on both days. I have never been to a hotel that refused to offer a Gluten free bread. Altogether it was a really disappointing experience and we will never go again which is such a shame as it's proximity to Bath is great.”

“I've been several times never disappoints. The rooms are extremely comfortable the food is really high standard. The staff are lovely . Mr white is often in the restaurant and is a very plesent man.”

“Rude Rude Rude Aggresive and arrogant Owner who did not make me welcome did not honour booking on complaint had mistold the truth of the Incident ,and A venue that has nothing to do with Marco Pierre White but which I have since found out is his overindulged sons venue, I am am still extremely vexed at my treatment and response to my very justified complaint.”

“Beautiful manor in a stunning location. Bedroom was well equipped. However we were disappointed with the 3 course dining. Limited choice, small portions, expected better quality and how many surcharges were applied”
